Bobcats Play Blackbirds At Yale In Rescheduled Game
The Quinnipiac men's soccer team has rescheduled its game versus Long Island to Tuesday, Nov. 1, with the contest set to be played at Yale University's Reese Stadium at 7 p.m.

About Long Island
The Blackbirds are coming off a 1-3 loss to St. Francis (N.Y) on Friday, Oct. 28. Senior Josh Maley netted Long Island's only goal of the contest, while senior Adam Janssen made eight saves in net. On the season, senior Steve Jakubowski leads the squad with 10 points (four goals, two assists), followed by senior Rommel Forde (two goals, five assists) and Maley's (three goals, three assists) nine points. Janssen has accumulated a .740 save percentage to go along with his 1.75 goals against average on the year.
All-Time Against Long Island
Sunday's contest will be the 13th time the two sides face each other, with Long Island leading the all-time series, 6-3-3. In their last meeting on October 31, 2010, Long Island came away with a 3-2 victory over Quinnipiac. Sophomore Philip Suprise (Milwaukee, Wisc.) and junior William Cavallo (Londonderry, N.H.) each scored for the Bobcats, but a late goal by Jakubowski (his second of the game) gave the Blackbirds the victory. Sophomore Josh Lavallee (Upland, Calif.) made four saves in goal for Quinnipiac.
Last Time Out
Led by sophomore Tim Quigley's (Ridgefield, Conn.) two goals, the Bobcats came away with a 2-1 win against Central Connecticut on Friday, Oct. 28. Quigley found the back of the net in the first half just before halftime, before netting his second goal of the game in the 67th minute of play to give Quinnipiac the 2-0 lead. Central Connecticut scored its lone goal of the contest in the 84th minute, yet was unable to find the equalizer before the end of regulation. Freshman goalkeeper Borja Angoitia (Bilbao, Spain) made a season-high 10 saves in net for Quinnipiac, which improved its NEC record to 4-3 on the year.
Following Tuesday's game, the Bobcats will travel to face Sacred Heart on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. The Bobcats will play their final regular-season contest on their home field when they host St. Francis (N.Y.) on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 1 p.m.
