Conn. - Quinnipiac University freshman men's tennis player Corey
Morgenstern (Old Bethpage, N.Y.) has been named the Northeast
Conference Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week for the second time in
the last three weeks, the league office today announced.
Corey Morgenstern Earns NEC Rookie of the Week
Morgenstern was a double-winner in the Bobcats' 6-1 win against Siena on Thursday. He paired with Andrew Weeden (Martinsville, N.J.) at No. 2 doubles to defeat Jarrett Siwiec and Robert Cooperman, 8-5, before taking care of Cooperman, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 5 singles.
Following today's match against Hofstra, currently in progress, the Bobcats will take on NEC foe Bryant on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
