Kei Ezaka and Ryoma Haraguchito to Join Men’s Tennis 2013-14 Roster
Quinnipiac University men's tennis head coach Mike Quitko has announced the addition of Kei Ezaka (Ojai, Calif.) and Ryoma Haraguchito (New York, N.Y.) to the 2013-14 Bobcats' tennis roster. Ezaka and Haraguchito have each signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Quinnipiac this fall and will suit up come September.

Lane Earns First Team Singles; Ambrosio and Nelson Land Second Team Doubles
Senior Garrett Lane (Reading, Mass.) took home All-Northeast Conference First Team honors as the Northeast Conference released its award winners for the 2012-13 men’s tennis season on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Joining Lane with accolades was the tandem of Eric Ambrosio (Lloyd Harbor, N.Y.) and Chris Nelson (Scituate, Mass.) who were named to Second Team Doubles at flight No. 3.

The Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team had its quest for a fifth Northeast Conference title cut short on Saturday afternoon, as the Bobcats were outlasted in the NEC Semifinals by Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-1, at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J. Quinnipiac was looking for its third finals appearance in the its last four years.

The Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team was nearly flawless on Friday afternoon as the Bobcats cruised past Monmouth University, 4-0, in the NEC Tournament Quarterfinals at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J. With the win, the third-seeded Bobcats advance to the semifinals for the 11th straight year where they will take on the Knights of Fairleigh Dickinson University.

The Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team will attempt to conquer its quest of a fifth NEC Tournament Championship this weekend, as the Bobcats open play on Friday, April 19 at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, N.J. The Bobcats earned the third seed of the 10-team field and drew a quarterfinal match-up against No. 6 Monmouth.

Eric Ambrosio Named Northeast Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
Sophomore Eric Ambrosio (Lloyd Harbor, N.Y.) of the Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team was recently named the Northeast Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, announced on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Ambrosio helped the Bobcats to a 2-1 record last week while posting a perfect 6-0 mark during the three matches.

In front of family and friends on Mount Carmel Campus, the Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team breezed past Hofstra University, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon while celebrating Senior and Alumni Day at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts. Prior to the match, Quinnipiac honored its senior class members, Garrett Lane (Reading, Mass.), Alex Lazerowich (Stratham, N.H.), Chris Nelson (Scituate, Mass.) and Fahoum Fahoum (Haifa, Israel), for their dedication and commitment to the men’s tennis program.

Quinnipiac University men’s and women’s tennis head coach Mike Quitko reached a significant personal milestone on Saturday afternoon as the Bobcats swept Saint Francis University to seal his 500th career win. Both the men’s and the women’s teams’ each won with 4-0 decisions en route to the historic win for Coach Quitko.

With wins at four of six singles matches, and two of three doubles, the Quinnipiac University men's tennis team won its second straight conference match with a 5-2 victory over NEC foe Monmouth University on Monday evening. The Bobcats improve to 3-2 in league play, while the Hawks fall below the .500 mark to 1-2.

Men's Tennis Earns Northeast Conference Win at Sacred Heart, 6-1
The Quinnipiac University men's tennis team backed a superb effort in doubles with five points in singles to claim a 6-1 victory over Northeast Conference foe Sacred Heart at the Pioneer Tennis Courts in Fairfield, Conn. With the win, the Bobcats climbed back to the .500 mark in NEC play (2-2) and picked up career win No. 498 for head coach Mike Quitko - now just two away from his 500th victory.

The Quinnipiac University men's tennis team was just a few points away from their eighth straight win over Hartford, but then it started raining. With the Bobcats in front, 2-0, play was suspended and then cancelled because of the weather. The match will not be rescheduled.

Men's Tennis Falls Just Short Against Reigning NEC Champs Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-3
The Quinnipiac men's tennis team fought hard against reigning NEC champion Fairleigh Dickinson but were denied the victory, falling to the Knights, 4-3, on Saturday from the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts. Sophomore Eric Ambrosio (Lloyd Harbor, N.Y.) picked up a pair of victories to lead the way for the Bobcats on the afternoon. The loss drops Quinnipiac to 4-10 (1-2 NEC) on the season while the Knights win their third straight against the Bobcats moving to 5-4 (3-1 NEC) on the year.

Seniors Propel Men’s Tennis to Non-Conference Win; Bobcats Top Fairfield, 5-2
Just one day removed from the court, the Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team responded nicely to its quick turnaround with a 5-2 victory over Fairfield University at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts on Mount Carmel Campus. Led by its senior class, the Bobcats erased a 1-0 deficit with five wins in the singles segment for the team’s fourth victory of the season.

Garrett Lane (Reading, Mass.) collected his 72nd win on Sunday afternoon, but it was Bryant University who prevailed, 6-1, in a Northeast Conference showdown between the Bobcats and the Bulldogs at the Bryant Tennis Complex in Smithfield, R.I.

HAMDEN, Conn. - The men's tennis match between Quinnipiac University and Fairfield University that was scheduled for today, Thursday, March 21, 2013, has been postponed due to inclement weather. The match against the Stags has been yet to be rescheduled.

Sophomore Sebastian Barbero (Buenos Aires, Argentina) came up big with two victories on Thursday against South Carolina State but the Quinnipiac men's tennis team came up short against the Bulldogs, 6-1, from Orlando, Fla. The loss drops the Bobcats to 3-7 on the season while SCSU improves 6-2.

Fahoum Fahoum (Haifa, Israel), Garrett Lane (Reading, Mass.) and Corey Morgenstern (Old Bethpage, N.Y.) each defeated their opponent in singles on Monday night, but the Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team couldn’t find another point in a 4-3 loss to Valparaiso in Orlando, Fla.

The Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team battled back from a 1-0 deficit on Monday afternoon and defeated Jackson State University, 5-2, in the first game of the Bobcats spring break trip in Orlando, Fla. Quinnipiac won five matches in singles, including three win in a deciding set, to improve to 3-5 on the season.

Fahoum Fahoum (Haifa, Israel) picked up his 15th win with the Bobcats on Sunday morning, as the Quinnipiac University men's tennis team put forth a strong effort against Patriot League powerhouse Army at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center in West Point, N.Y. The Black Knights, who have five NCAA Tournament appearances, took the match 6-1 in the first meeting between the two schools.

Senior Garrett Lane (Reading, Mass.) added two more wins to his collegiate resume and provided a big lift in the win.

Just three days after the completion of the United States Tennis Association (USTA)/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Regional tournament, the Quinnipiac University men's tennis team began a three-day tournament with players from around the state on Friday morning for the Connecticut State Championships. The event, which takes place at Yale's Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center, features players from Fairfield, Hartford, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart, the University of Connecticut and Yale, all of whom are battling for the singles and doubles titles.

Men’s and Women’s Tennis Head Coach Mike Quitko was presented with an award at the New Haven Open on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Connecticut Tennis Center on the campus of Yale University. Fellow Quinnipiac alumni, parents, faculty and student-athletes were in attendance for “Quinnipiac Night” in celebration of Coach Q’s career accomplishments.
