Served as the team’s ace for the second straight season … Collected 22 wins, improving his career total to 82 … Posted eight wins in singles competition and 14 wins in doubles play … Picked up his first win with Eric Ambrosio at the Fairfield Doubles Festival on Sept. 10, defeating a twosome from Sacred Heart … Earned his first two wins in singles play at the UConn Invitational on Sept. 23-24, defeating opponents from Bryant and Hartford … Topped Andres Rosa of Saint Francis (Pa.) in straight sets for his first Northeast Conference win of the campaign on Feb. 26 … Advanced to the Flight “A” Quarterfinals of the Quinnipiac Invitational with James Kwei … Closed out the season with a 6-2 record with Kwei at #1 doubles … Defeated Robert Morris’ Angus Thompson and Tarun Kishan, 8-3, in the Quarterfinals and then went on to defeat Monmouth’s Freddy Marcinkowski and Francis Jedlinski, 8-5, in the Semifinals.
As a Sophomore in 2010-11:
Earned his second All-NEC Second Team selection, this time at No. 1 singles … Compiled a 19-12 singles record, including a 13-8 mark in dual matches … Went 10-5 out of the No. 1 singles flight … Paired with Brian Mikkelson to post a 9-9 record in dual matches at No. 1 doubles … Won a total of 37 matches, second on the team only to James Kwei’s 38 … Was named NEC Player of the Week on both October 19 and March 8 … Qualified for the main draw at the ITA Regionals with a pair of straight set victories against Stony Brook’s Francesco Arciuli and Marist’s Joris Van Eck … Defeated Hofstra’s Antonio Pena in three sets to advance to the second round of the ITA Regionals … Won a pair of NEC Tournament matches in both singles and doubles against competition from Mount St. Mary’s and Fairleigh Dickinson in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively … Defeated Yale’s Erik Blumenkrantz in three sets at No. 2 singles on March 11.
As a Freshman in 2009-10:
Earned All-NEC Second Team at No. 2 doubles with partner, John Hughes ... Ascended to the No. 3 singles flight after winning 11 of his first singles matches ... Opened his collegiate singles career with the Flight B Championship at the UConn Invitational ... Earned NEC Rookie of the Week three times, Sept. 29, Nov. 3 and March 16 ... Also earned NEC Player of the Week on Nov. 3 after reaching the singles and doubles semifinals at the Connecticut State Championships ... Earned 26 wins in his initial collegiate campaign.
Ranked No. 21 by the USTA Boys' 18's Eastern Tennis Association ... TennisRecruiting.net ranked Weeden as highly as No. 167 nationally, as well as No. 3 in New Jersey and No. 19 in the Middle Atlantic Region ... Was the Somerset County Boys' High School Champion as a junior, and was named Courier News and Star-Ledger Boys' Tennis Player of the Year ... Was a second-team all-state selection overall in singles, as well as a first-team all-state selection at second singles after finishing with a 28-1 record.
