Men's Track Finishes 11th At NEC Championships
The Quinnipiac University men's track team ran in the final day of competition at the Northeast Conference Championships hosted by Monmouth. Freshman Dan Roark (Dracut, Mass.) highlighted the meet for the Bobcats with a fourth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:50.30. That finish earned the Bobcats five team points.

Men's Track Runs In First Day Of NEC Championships
The Quinnipiac University men's track team ran in the first day of competition at the Northeast Conference Championships at Monmouth. Sophomore Addison Pellerano (Surry, Maine) highlighted the meet for the Bobcats as he posted a personal-best time of 32:49.01 in the 10,000-meter race. That time was more than 50 seconds better than his previous best finish in the event.

Men's Track Runs At Final Day Of Penn Relays
The Quinnipiac University men's track team ran in the final day of the Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field. The Bobcats competed in one event on Saturday afternoon, running in the 4x800-meter relay. Seniors Chris Foster (Mystic, Conn.) and Steve Pilch, (Medford Lakes, N.J.) and freshmen Andrew Sullivan (Ellington, Conn.) and Sean Ramsey (Southbury, Conn.) combined to finish 31st overall with a time of 8:11.56.

Men's Track Runs At Yale Springtime Invitational
The Quinnipiac University men's track team wrapped up its weekend with the Yale Springtime Invitational at Dwyer Track. The Bobcats had run in the 115th Penn Relays from Thursday to Saturday in Philadelphia. Sunday's meet was highlighted for the Bobcats by senior Steve Pilch's (Medford Lakes, N.J.) performance in the 800-meter race. Pilch eclipsed the two-minute mark for the first time this season, crossing the line in 1:59.23.

Men's And Women's Track Run At First Day Of Penn Relays
Freshman runner Dan Roark (Dracut, Mass.) highlighted the first day of competition at the Penn Relays at Franklin Field for the Quinnipiac University men's track team. Roark finished the 5000-meter Olympic Development race 30th overall with a personal-best time of 14.51.77. That time placed Roark amongst the top three runners in the event from the Northeast Conference.

Men's Track Runs At Holy Cross
The Quinnipiac University men's outdoor track team ran at Holy Cross Wednesday afternoon at Hart Track. Sophomore Alex Mako (North Andover, Mass.) set a personal-best time by more than two seconds in the 400-meter race as crossed in 53.44, finishing just behind senior Steve Pilch (Medford Lakes, N.J.). Pilch finished eighth with a time of 53.06. The meet also featured the University of New Hampshire, Worcester State, Rhode Island and Holy Cross.

The Quinnipiac University men's outdoor track meet scheduled for Tuesday, April 21 at Holy Cross has been postponed due to inclement weather. Men's Outdoor Track Runs At UConn Spring Invitational
The Quinnipiac University men's outdoor track team ran in the UConn Spring Invitational at the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex. The Bobcats' meet was highlighted by the 800-meter race that saw three members of the team finish in the top 10. Senior Chris Foster (Mystic, Conn.) posted a personal-best time of 1:59.17 in the event to lead Quinnipiac with a fifth-place finish.

Men's Track Runs At UMass Invitational
The Quinnipiac University men's outdoor track team ran in the UMass Invitational Saturday afternoon. Freshman Dan Roark's (Dracut, Mass.) performance in the 1500-meter race highlighted the meet for the Bobcats. Roark won his heat in a personal-best time of 4:02, leading the race wire-to-wire. The Bobcats placed 10th at the meet with three points, while meet host UMass finished in first with 186 team points.

The Quinnipiac University men's outdoor track team hosted the Quinnipiac University Track & Field Outdoor Classic at Yale's Dwyer Track. The Bobcats competed against Providence, Stony Brook and Iona in the dual meet. Dan Roark (Dracut, Mass.) highlighted the meet for the Bobcats with a first-place performance in the 3000-meter steeplechase. The freshman harrier crossed the line in 9:29.59.

Men's Track Ranked Ninth In NEC Preseason Coaches' Poll
The Quinnipiac University men's track team was ranked fifth in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. Monmouth was tabbed first by the coaches with six first-place votes, while Saint Francis (Pa.) received two and Sacred Heart finished with three.

Men's Outdoor Track Runs At Monmouth Season Opener
The Quinnipiac University men's outdoor track team began its 2009 campaign at the Monmouth Season Opener. Sophomores John Greenlaw (Hampstead, N.H.) and Taylor Roberts (Newburyport, Mass.) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 10,000-meter race with times that qualified both for the New England Championships. Greenlaw crossed the line in 33:53.35 with Roberts close behind with a personal-best time 33:53.79.

Men's Cross Country Honored With All-Academic Team Award
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team was awarded a 2009 All-Academic Team award by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Bobcats are one of just 111 Division I schools to be honored with the team academic accolade this year as they earned a cumulative grade-point average of 3.18. This marks the eighth time the program has received the honor in the past nine seasons. Quinnipiac has won four of the last five Northeast Conference Championships, including three consecutive, while also being named one of the top academic teams in the nation in each of those four seasons.

Men's Indoor Track Competes At IC4A Championships
The Quinnipiac University men's indoor track team ran at the first day of the IC4A Championships at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center. Freshman Dan Roark (Dracut, Mass.) was the lone individual runner competing at the meet for the Bobcats. Roark ran in 3000-meter race, posting the fastest time by a Quinnipiac freshman in the event as he crossed the line in 8:29.20. That time was a personal best by more than eight seconds for the freshman harrier.

Men's Indoor Track Runs At First Day Of New England Championships
The Quinnipiac University men's indoor track team competed in the opening day of the New England Championships at Boston University's Track and Tennis Center. Freshman Rich Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) was the only individual Quinnipiac runner competing Friday night as he ran in the 5000-meter race. Klauber posted his second-best time in the event as he crossed in 15:03. That time was good enough for an 11th-place finish in a field of more than 30 runners.

The Quinnipiac University men's indoor track team finished the second day of competition at the New England Championships at Boston University's Track and Tennis Center with two races. John Beckshaw (Medford, Mass.) ran in the Bobcats' only individual race of the day, competing in the 3000 meters. Jack McDonald (Cheshire, Conn.), Steve Pilch (Medford Lakes, N.J.), Chris Foster (Mystic, Conn.) and Sean Ramsey (Southbury, Conn.) comprised Quinnipiac's 4x800-meter relay team that posted a season best time by more than 21 seconds.

Men's Indoor Track Finishes Sixth Of Twelve Teams At NEC Championships
Freshman Dan Roark (Dracut, Mass.) was named the Rookie of the Meet at the Northeast Conference Championships as he helped the Quinnipiac University men's indoor track team to a sixth-place finish with 40-team points at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex. Roark finished the 5000-meter race in second place with a time of 15:07.08, one day after winning the conference title in the 3000-meter race. Roark's individual conference accolade was the first for any Quinnipiac male runner in program history in indoor track. Rich Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) placed just behind Roark in third in the 5000 meters with a time of 15:12.28.

Men's Indoor Track Competes In First Day Of NEC Championships
Dan Roark (Dracut, Mass.) of the Quinnipiac University indoor track team won the 3000-meter race at the Northeast Conference Championships at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex during the first day of competition. The freshman automatically qualifies for the IC4A Championships in two weeks as he finished the race with a time of 8:37.44. Fellow freshman runner, Rich Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) finished the race five seconds back of his teammate in second place with a time of 8:42.05. Klauber was trailing Central Connecticut's Roy Sanderson in the final lap, but made a late push to overtake the junior and finish second.

Men's Indoor Track Runs At Dartmouth Invitational
The Quinnipiac University men's indoor track team competed in the Dartmouth Indoor Invitational Saturday afternoon. Tyler Dinnan's (Juneau, Alaska) first-place finish in the mile race highlighted the meet for the Bobcats. The senior runner crossed the line in 4:17.96, almost a second faster than the second-place finisher. The time was a season best in the event for Dinnan. Running alongside the Bobcats were teams from the University of New Hampshire, Vermont and meet-host Dartmouth.

Men's Indoor Track Competes At Rhode Island Invitational
The Quinnipiac University men's indoor track team competed at the University of Rhode Island Invitational at Mackal Fieldhouse Friday afternoon. First-place finishes by Jack McDonald (Cheshire, Conn.), Tyler Dinnan (Juneau, Alaska) and the Distance Medley Relay team were the highlights in the non-scoring meet. Other schools competing alongside the Bobcats included Bryant, Providence and the hosts from Rhode Island.

Men's Indoor Track Competes At Second Day Of Terrier Invitational At Boston University
The Quinnipiac University men's indoor track team competed in the second day of the Terrier Invitational hosted by Boston University on Saturday afternoon. Tyler Dinnan (Juneau, Alaska) won his heat and finished eighth overall in the 1000 meter race with a time of 2:29.22, highlighting the meet for the Bobcats. With that time, Dinnan qualified for the IC4A Championships later in the season. Freshman Rich Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) was the top Quinnipiac runner in the 5000 meter race, crossing the line 18th overall in a field of 62 with a time of 14:52.37, winning his heat by more 10 seconds

Men's Indoor Track Distance Medley Relay Team Runs At Boston University
Quinnipiac's men's indoor team competed in one race, the distance medley relay, on Friday at the Terrier Invitational at Boston University. The Bobcats finished sixth of 13 teams with a time of 10:15.67. That time qualified the team for the IC4A championship meet later in the season. Tyler Dinnan (Juneau, Alaska) ran the 1200 meter in 3:04, while Steven Pilch (Medford Lakes, N.J.) ran the 400-meter leg in 52 seconds. Brendan Amoruso (Northport, N.Y.) ran the 800-meter portion in 1:58, while Jack McDonald (Cheshire, Conn.) anchored the race in the 1600-meter leg with a time of 4:21.

Men's Indoor Track Finishes Third At New Hampshire
Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) paced the Quinnipiac University men's indoor track team to a third-place finish at the University of New Hampshire Saturday afternoon. Klauber finished the mile race second overall with a time of 4:22.34, setting a new personal-best time in the event. Fellow freshman Dan Roark (Dracut, Mass.) placed fourth in the same event, crossing the line with a time of 4:30.18. The Bobcats competed with UNH and the College of the Holy Cross in the meet.

Men's Cross Country Honored With NEC Team Sportsmanship Award
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team was honored with the Northeast Conference Sportsmanship Award the league office today announced. This is the first time in conference history that the NEC has presented team awards for good sportsmanship. Each head coach and student-athlete vote for the institution that best exemplifies the qualities of good sportsmanship following the conclusion of the season. Quinnipiac received the award for men's cross country after winning its third consecutive NEC championship.

The Quinnipiac University men's indoor track team was picked to finish eighth in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. Monmouth was tabbed as the top team as selected by the conference's coaches with eight first-place votes. Sacred Heart finished a close second with four first-place votes.

Quinnipiac, Yale, Southern Connecticut, New Haven, Manhattan, Trinity and Marist were the seven schools that made up the meet.

The Quinnipiac University men's indoor track team begins its 2008-09 season at the Yale Season Opener on Saturday at 11:40 a.m. at Yale's Coxe Cage. The Bobcats come into the indoor track season having won their third consecutive Northeast Conference Cross Country Championship at Holmdel Park, N.J., on Nov. 2. Freshman Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) was named the NEC Men's Cross Country Outstanding Performer and Rookie of the Year during the fall season. Last year, Tyler Dinnan (Juneau, Alaska) won the 5000 meter race at the season-opening meet in New Haven with a time of 15:17.61.

The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team landed in the final New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association's weekly poll. The Bobcats finished the season ranked 15th in the poll voted on the college coaches of New England. This season, the Bobcats never dropped out of the top 15 in the NEICAAA's weekly rankings.

Men's Cross Country Finishes 22nd of 33 Teams At NCAA Regional
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team finished the NCAA Northeast Regional in Van Cortland Park 22nd in a field of 33 teams Saturday morning. The Bobcats were led by Northeast Conference Outstanding Performer and Rookie of the Year Rich Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.). His 71st-place finish in 33:53 led the Bobcats to a team score of 594. Iona and Providence secured automatic bids to the NCAA Championships as the top two teams at the meet.

The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team won its third consecutive Northeast Conference Championship Saturday morning. Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) was named the NEC Outstanding Performer and Freshman of the Year after finishing first at the conference championship meet with a time of 26:20. Head Coach Ed O'Connor was honored as the NEC Coach of the Year for the fifth time as the Bobcats finished first of 11 teams with 52 points.

The Bobcats remain in 14th place for the second week in a row after finishing 17th of 28 teams at the Penn State Invitational on Friday. Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) led the Bobcats with a 72nd-place finish with a time of 26:36 on the 5.2 mile course.

The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team finished 17th of 28 teams at the Penn State Invitational Friday morning. Freshman Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) was the first Quinnipiac runner to finish the 5.2 mile course. His time of 26:36 was good for 72nd overall. The Bobcats' 516 points was the best score of any Northeast Conference school at the meet as Mount St. Mary's, St. Francis (Pa.) and Robert Morris finished 24th, 26th and 28th, respectively.

Richard Klauber Named NEC Men's Cross Country Rookie Of The Week
Quinnipiac University men's cross country freshman Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) was named the Northeast Conference Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week the conference office today announced. This is the third time this season Klauber has received Rookie of the Week honors. He was named the Male Athlete of the Week this season after finishing first at the Monmouth Invitational in September.

The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team finished 11th at the New England Championships at Franklin Park. Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) finished as the top Quinnipiac runner with a time of 25:15, good for 21st overall out of 315 total runners. That time was a Quinnipiac freshman record on the Franklin Park course.

The Bobcats are 15th in the latest U.S. Track & Field And Cross Country Coaches Association poll and 14th in the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association. The Bobcats moved up one spot in each poll.

Men's Cross Country Ranked In Latest NEICAAA Poll
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team landed in the latest New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association weekly poll. The Bobcats are ranked 15th in the third poll of the season after defeating the University of Connecticut at the Quinnipiac Invitational. The win was Quinnipiac's second team win of the 2008 season. Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) finished the meet in first place with a time of 26:03. It was his second consecutive first-place finish after also crossing the line first at the Monmouth Invitational on Sept. 19.

Freshman Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) won his second consecutive race with a time of 26:03 at the Quinnipiac Invitational, as the Quinnipiac University men's cross country team won its second meet of the 2008 season. Quinnipiac's 24 points beat the University of Connecticut who finished Saturday's dual meet with 33 points.

The men's team is currently ranked 15th in the region after finishing second with 96 points at the Fordham Fiasco on Sept. 6 at Van Cortland Park. The women's team is ranked 10th after also finishing second at the same meet with 79 points

VAN CORTLAND PARK, N.Y. ? The Quinnipiac University men's and women's cross country teams both posted second-place finishes at the Fordham Invitational Saturday morning. The men's team finished second in a field of 16 schools with 96 points, one point ahead of third-place Williams College. The women's team finished with 79 points for a second-place finish in a field of 20 teams. The Naval Academy's men's and women's teams both finished the meet in first.

The Bobcats claimed eight of the eleven first-place votes for the upcoming season. The Bobcats are seeking their third straight men's cross country conference championship in 2008.

HAMDEN, Conn. - The first race in the 2008 Quinnipiac Cross Country Summer Race Series was run tonight on campus. Sean Mueller took first place with a time of 17:19.1, while Michael Dolan and Taylor Phillips finished second and third at 17:22.1 and 17:30.9, respectively.
