Men's Cross Country Named USTFCCCA All-Academic Team
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team was named one of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Teams of 2009. The Bobcats posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.18 this past season to earn the distinction. Quinnipiac was one of four teams from the Northeast Conference to make the list of 135 teams nationally, joining, Wagner, Sacred Heart and Monmouth.

Men's Cross Country Places 18th At NCAA Northeast Regional
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team placed 18th in a field of 36 teams Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Northeast Regional hosted by Boston University. The Bobcats finished with 568 team points on the 10K Franklin Park course in sloppy and muddy conditions. Sophomore Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) was the top Quinnipiac runner, crossing the line 52nd overall in a field of nearly 250 runners in 32:58. Syracuse place first overall with 55 total points.

Men's Cross Country Finishes Second At NEC Championships
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team placed second at the 2009 Northeast Conference Championships Saturday morning in Hamden. Sophomore Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) led the Bobcats with a second-place finish on the 8K Quinnipiac Cross Country Course in 26:14. The Bobcats posted 82 team points to finish in second place to Central Connecticut's 46 points.

Men's Cross Country Seeks Fourth Straight NEC Championship
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team will look for its fourth consecutive Northeast Conference Championship when its hosts the 12-team race Saturday at 11 a.m. This marks the second time in program history that Quinnipiac has served as the host for the conference championship and the first since 2004. The Bobcats will try and win their fifth title in six years with their first coming on the 8K Quinnipiac Cross Country Course in the 2004 season. Defending NEC Performer and Rookie of the Year sophomore Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) is coming off his first Road Runner Sports NEC Athlete of the Week honor of 2009 heading into the conference championships.

Richard Klauber Named NEC Men's Cross Country Athlete Of The Week
Sophomore Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) of the Quinnipiac University men's cross country team was named the Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Athlete of the Week. This is the first time that the second-year Bobcat has been honored by the league this season after finishing 2008 as the Rookie and Performer of the Year. Klauber was honored by the conference for a second-place finish at the Central Connecticut State University Mini Meet on Saturday morning in New Britain, Conn.

Men's Cross Country Finishes Third of 11 Teams At CCSU Mini Meet
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team placed third in a field of 11 teams at the Central Connecticut State University Mini Meet at Stanley #$%^Quarter Park Saturday morning. Sophomore Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) finished second overall in helping lead the Bobcats to third place with #$%^81 team points on the 5K course. Klauber finished the race with a time of 15:11.82, just two seconds back of Providence College's Michael Anderson.

Mike Levene Named NEC Men's Cross Country Rookie Of The Week
Freshman Mike Levene (Redding, Conn.) was honored as the Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for the second straight week. Levene led the Bobcats at the New England Championships on Saturday at Franklin Park in Boston with a 24th-place finish. The first-year Bobcat crossed the line in 25:19.

The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team finished 26th at the New England Championships at Franklin Park on Saturday afternoon. #$%^Freshman Mike Levene (Redding, Conn.) led the Bobcats with at the regional meet. It was the third time this season that Levene finished as the top #$%^Quinnipiac runner.

Mike Levene Named NEC Men's Cross Country Rookie Of The Week
Quinnipiac University men's cross country freshman Mike Levene (Redding, Conn.) was honored as the Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week. This is the first time that Levene has been honored by the NEC as the first-year member of the Bobcats earned the weekly accolade after finishing sixth overall at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University on Friday, Oct. 2.

Men's Cross Country Ties For Sixth of 38 Teams At Paul Short Invitational
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team finished tied for sixth place out of 38 teams at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh. The Bobcats tied Northeast Conference opponent Saint Francis (Pa.) for sixth as both teams finished the meet with 321 team points. Freshman Mike Levene (Redding, Conn.) was as the team's top finisher, crossing the line sixth overall in 25:18.

Men's Cross Country Finishes Seventh At Quinnipiac Invitational
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team finished seventh at the 2009 Quinnipiac University Invitational with 155 team points. Freshman Mike Levene (Redding, Conn.) was the Bobcats' top runner at the meet, posting a time of 26:26 and finishing eighth overall. Sacred Heart won the meet with 58 points, while Central Connecticut's 88 points were good for second and Monmouth's 95 placed the Hawks third.

Men's Cross Country Places Fourth At Dartmouth Invitational
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team finished fourth at the Dartmouth Invitational . The Bobcats posted 120 team points as they ran against Dartmouth, UMass and Boston College on the 8K course. Sophomore John Beckshaw (Medford, Conn.) was the top Quinnipiac runner to finish as he crossed the line 31st overall in 27:44. Dartmouth won the meet with 21 points, followed by UMass , Boston College and Quinnipiac.

Jamie Glover Named NEC Men's Cross Country Rookie Of The Week
The Northeast Conference announced Quinnipiac University men's cross country freshman Jamie Glover (Clifton Park, N.Y.) as the 2009 season's first Road Runner Sports NEC Rookie of the Week. The first-year runner posted the best showing by a Quinnipiac harrier at the Stony Brook Invitational. His time of 21:03 was good enough for an eighth-place showing in his first collegiate race and helped the Bobcats to a third-place team finish on the 6200-meter course. Wagner's Zachary Spector earned the distinction of Road Runner Sports NEC Athlete of the Week, joining Glover on the conference's weekly honor roll.

Men's Cross Country Finishes Third At Stony Brook
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team began its 2009 season with a third-place finish at the Stony Brook Invitational with 61 total points. Manhattan won the meet with 38 points, while the hosts from Stony Brook finished second with 51. Two-time defending national runner-up Iona placed fourth, four points behind Quinnipiac with 65 team points. The Bobcats were led by freshman Jamie Glover (Clifton Park, N.Y.), who placed ninth in 21:03. Fellow freshman Mike Levene (Redding, Conn.) crossed the line in tenth place, two seconds behind Glover at 21:05.

2009 Quinnipiac Cross Country Summer Series
The 2009 Quinnipiac Summer Cross Country Series Run was held on Quinnipiac's beautiful Mount Carmel campus. The 2009 Male winner was #$%^Spencer #$%^Rogers who covered the 5000 meter race in 17:50. The women's winner was Kimberly Ryder who finished in 24:28. Men's Cross Country Picked First In NEC Preseason Coaches Poll
The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team was picked to finish first in the 2009 Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll with nine first-place votes. This is the fourth year in a row that the Bobcats have been picked to finish first in the NEC, with the team winning the conference championship in each of the last three seasons. Quinnipiac will serve as the host school for the 2009 NEC Championships on Oct. 31.
