      <title>Men's Cross Country Named USTFCCCA All-Academic Team</title>

      <description>The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team was named one of the U.S. Track &amp; Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Teams of 2009. The Bobcats posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.18 this past season to earn the distinction. Quinnipiac was one of four teams from the Northeast Conference to make the list of 135 teams nationally, joining, Wagner, Sacred Heart and Monmouth.</description>

      <title>Men's Cross Country Places 18th At NCAA Northeast Regional</title>

      <description>The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team placed 18th in a field of 36 teams Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Northeast Regional hosted by Boston University. The Bobcats finished with 568 team points on the 10K Franklin Park course in sloppy and muddy conditions. Sophomore Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) was the top Quinnipiac runner, crossing the line 52nd overall in a field of nearly 250 runners in 32:58. Syracuse place first overall with 55 total points.</description>

Sophomore Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) led the Bobcats with a second-place finish on the 8K Quinnipiac Cross Country Course in 26:14. The Bobcats posted 82 team points to finish in second place to Central Connecticut's 46 points.</description>

      <title>Men's Cross Country Seeks Fourth Straight NEC Championship</title>

      <description>The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team will look for its fourth consecutive Northeast Conference Championship when its hosts the 12-team race Saturday at 11 a.m. This marks the second time in program history that Quinnipiac has served as the host for the conference championship and the first since 2004. The Bobcats will try and win their fifth title in six years with their first coming on the 8K Quinnipiac Cross Country Course in the 2004 season. Defending NEC Performer and Rookie of the Year sophomore Richard Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) is coming off his first Road Runner Sports NEC Athlete of the Week honor of 2009 heading into the conference championships.</description>

This is the first time that the second-year Bobcat has been honored by the league this season after finishing 2008 as the Rookie and Performer of the Year. Klauber was honored by the conference for a second-place finish at the Central Connecticut State University Mini Meet on Saturday morning in New Britain, Conn.</description>

Levene led the Bobcats at the New England Championships on Saturday at Franklin Park in Boston with a 24th-place finish. The first-year Bobcat crossed the line in 25:19.</description>

Sophomore John Beckshaw (Medford, Conn.) was the top Quinnipiac runner to finish as he crossed the line 31st overall in 27:44. Dartmouth won the meet with 21 points, followed by UMass , Boston College and Quinnipiac.</description>

      <description>The Northeast Conference announced Quinnipiac University men's cross country freshman Jamie Glover (Clifton Park, N.Y.) as the 2009 season's first Road Runner Sports NEC Rookie of the Week. The first-year runner posted the best showing by a Quinnipiac harrier at the Stony Brook Invitational. His time of 21:03 was good enough for an eighth-place showing in his first collegiate race and helped the Bobcats to a third-place team finish on the 6200-meter course. Wagner's Zachary Spector earned the distinction of Road Runner Sports NEC Athlete of the Week, joining Glover on the conference's weekly honor roll.</description>

      <description>The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team began its 2009 season with a third-place finish at the Stony Brook Invitational with 61 total points. Manhattan won the meet with 38 points, while the hosts from Stony Brook finished second with 51. Two-time defending national runner-up Iona placed fourth, four points behind Quinnipiac with 65 team points. The Bobcats were led by freshman Jamie Glover (Clifton Park, N.Y.), who placed ninth in 21:03. Fellow freshman Mike Levene (Redding, Conn.) crossed the line in tenth place, two seconds behind Glover at 21:05.</description>
