Men's Cross Country Places Fourth At Dartmouth Invitational

HANOVER, N.H. - The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team finished fourth at the Dartmouth Invitational . The Bobcats posted 120 team points as they ran against Dartmouth, UMass and Boston College on the 8K course. Sophomore John Beckshaw (Medford, Conn.) was the top Quinnipiac runner to finish as he crossed the line 31st overall in 27:44. Dartmouth won the meet with 21 points, followed by UMass , Boston College and Quinnipiac.

Juniors John Greenlaw (Hampstead, N.H.) and Taylor Roberts (Newburyport, N.Y.) finished a second apart in 28:07 and 28:08 for 35th and 36th overall, respectively. Sophomore John Healy (Middletown, N.J.) and freshman Brian Cotter (Huntington, N.Y.) were the final two Bobcats to finish in the scoring. Healy ran a 28:19 for 38th place, while Cotter crossed the line next in 28:24.

"We ran against some great competition on a very challenging course today," said Head Coach Carolyn Martin. "It's early in the season and we have a lot of great running left in us."

The Bobcats return to action on Saturday, Sept. 19 as they host the annual Quinnipiac Invitational. The meet will have 10 teams, including eight Northeast Conference opponents and non-conference opponent Yale. The race is set to begin at noon.
