HAMDEN, Conn. - For the second straight week freshman Mike Levene (Redding, Conn.) of the Quinnipiac University men's cross country team was honored as the Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week. Levene led the Bobcats at the New England Championships on Saturday at Franklin Park in Boston with a 24th-place finish. The first-year Bobcat crossed the line in 25:19.
"Mike (Levene) has done an excellent job for us so far this year," said head coach Carolyn Martin. "He really knows how to race and push himself to get where he wants to be, which an extremely valuable asset to this team."
Levene was the second NEC runner to finish at Franklin Park.
