QU Men’s Cross Country Participates At MIT Spring Invite
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Quinnipiac University men’s cross country team participated at the 2012 MIT Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 21.
Freshman Spencer Mannion (Brookfield, Conn.), sophomore Richard Stoliker (Shelton, Conn.) and sophomore Michael White (Worcester, Mass.) represented the Bobcats in the 1,500-meter and 800-meter runs at the Invitational.
Mannion paced the Bobcats in both events, finishing 13th in the 1,500-meter run in 4:10.87 and 20th in the 800-meters in 2:04.68.
“We really used today as a training day,” said Head Coach Carolyn Martin. “The men ran well and I’m looking forward to having them run in the 5k at the upcoming Yale Springtime Invitational next weekend.”
Stoliker placed 20th in the 1,500-meters with a time of 4:18.85, followed by White in 23rd at 4:24.15. In the 800-meter run, White finished in 2:10.42, while Stoliker crossed the finish line in 2:10.67.
Quinnipiac men’s cross countrywill run again at Yale’s 2012 outdoor invitational on Sunday, April 29.
