Men's Cross Country Places 10th Out Of 16 Teams At Fordham Fiasco
BRONX, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac men’s cross country team placed 10th out of 16 teams at the annual Fordham Fiasco on Saturday, Sept. 10. The Bobcats finished with a total of 286 points, while Princeton won the 8k course with 26 points. Freshman Spencer Mannion (Brookfield, Conn.) was Quinnipiac’s top finisher, placing 50th overall in 27:05.32.
“I think the men’s team had a good day, but we’re a young group and we’re still adjusting to running the 8k,” said head coach Carolyn Martin. The team learned a lot about themselves today and I think it will pay off as we get deeper into the season. I’m looking forward to seeing the men improve as they continue to run 8k courses.”
Finishing second for Quinnipiac and 75th overall, was senior John Beckshaw (Medford, Mass.), with a time of 27:51.63. Sophomore Richard Stoliker (Shelton, Conn.), crossed the finish line next for the Bobcats in 27:57.52.
