Quinnipiac Cross Country Summer Challenge Set for Saturday, July 18 on Mount Carmel Campus
Quinnipiac University will host its annual Cross Country Summer Challenge on Saturday, July 18, 2015, a 5k race that is sponsored by the Woodbridge Running Company. The event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities to embark on QU's scenic course on Mount Carmel Campus. The race will begin at 9:30 a.m.

QU Men's Cross Country Finishes 2014 Season With 18th Place Finish (out of 39 teams) at NCAA Northeast Regional
The Quinnipiac men’s cross country team wrapped up their 2014 season with an 18th place finish, out of 39, at the NCAA Northeast Regional event from Van Cortlandt Park. The Bobcats’ All-MAAC performer in junior Brendan Copley (Colchester, Vt.) closed out another stellar season with a Top 100 finish to lead the way once again for Quinnipiac. The NCAA Regional event was won by Syracuse with 45 points while the Bobcats tallied 538, third-most among eight MAAC competitors.

QU Men's Cross Country's Depth Shines as Bobcats Earn 3rd Place Finish at MAAC Championship
The transformative season for the Quinnipiac men's cross country team took another huge step forward on Friday as the Bobcats scored a 3rd place finish (out of 11 teams) at the 2014 MAAC Championships held at Holmdel Park. A year after placing 7th as a team with just two runners within the first 27 finishers, the Bobcats' marked improvement up and down the roster in 2014 was evident on Friday as all five of their top performers placed within the Top 27 overall. The No. 5 nationally-ranked Iona Gaels won their 24th consecutive MAAC title as all seven of their runners in action placed in the Top 7 overall and were seperated by less than one second.

A total of four members of the Quinnipiac University men's cross country team were named to the 2014 MAAC Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team, announced on Friday, October 31, 2014 by the league office.

QU Men's Cross Country Looks for First MAAC Championship on Friday at 11:00 AM From Holmdel Park
The traditionally dominant Quinnipiac men’s cross country team looks to regain its championship form in their second MAAC Championship appearance on Friday at 11:00 am from Holmdel Park. After finishing no worse than second from 2003-09, the Bobcats experienced a lull from 2010-11 before finishing a mere seven points out of first place in the 2012 Northeast Conference Championship. Now armed with two of the most talented and experienced runners in the conference in junior Brendan Copley (Colchester, Vt.) and senior Spencer Mannion (Brookfield, Conn.), the Bobcats will look to improve upon their 7th place showing in the MAAC last season and potentially challenge 23-time defending champion Iona.

Spencer Mannion Claims MAAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week Honors
Quinnipiac men’s cross country senior Spencer Mannion (Brookfield, Conn.) earned the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week award, as announced by the league office on Wednesday, Oct. 29. Mannion’s first career Runner of the Week honor comes at the perfect time for the Bobcats as the team is now just two days away from the 2014 MAAC Championship.

QU Women's Cross Country and Track Alumni Alexandra "Sasha" Varanka Finishes 20 Seconds Shy of Olympic Marathon Qualifying Time
Former Quinnipiac women’s cross country and track and field student-athlete Alexandra “Sasha” Varanka ’09 competed in the 2014 Chicago Marathon and finished just 20 seconds shy of qualifying for the United States’ Olympics Trials. Her time of 2:43:19 in the Chicago Marathon nearly had her in range of the qualification standard time of 2:42:59 that is required for the Olympic Trials in the marathon.

Spencer Mannion Paces QU Men's Cross Country to 8th Place Finish (out of 19) at CCSU Mini Meet
Senior Spencer Mannion (Brookfield, Conn.) paced the Quinnipiac men's cross country team as the Bobcats scored an 8th place finish (out of 19 teams) at the Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) Mini Meet on Friday afternoon. Mannion's strong showing led a balanced Quinnipiac lineup (218 points) in the regional showcase as all five of the Bobcats' top finishers placed in the Top 50 overall. The host Blue Devils claimed the victory at their home course from Stanley Quarter Park with 52 points on Friday.

Brendan Copley Honored as MAAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Quinnipiac men’s cross country junior Brendan Copley (Colchester, Vt.) earned his third career MAAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week award on Tuesday, Oct. 14 as the league made their weekly announcement. Copley’s first Runner of the Week honor this season, combined with the two weekly honors from last season, put him in first place among all active MAAC runners with three career MAAC Runner of the Week awards.

QU Men's Cross Country Continues Hot Streak With 13th Place Result (out of 39) at New England Championships
Just one week removed from one of the best all-around performances in quite some time for the Quinnipiac men's cross country team, the Bobcats chose not to settle and continued to push ahead with another impressive 13th place finish at the New England Championships. Racing in horrid conditions as the rain pelted down and the temperatures lingered around 50 degrees, Quinnipiac wasn't fazed as their top six runners crossed the line just over 43 seconds apart. Regional powerhouse Providence split the New England Championship with a talented Brown squad as both teams finished the event with 72 points.

QU Men's Cross Country Places 3rd out of 40 Teams to Record Best Finish at Paul Short Run in Program History
Everything seemed to click for the Quinnipiac men's cross country team on Saturday as the Bobcats executed a perfect game plan to finish in 3rd place out of 40 schools in the Men's Brown meet at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University. Five of the Bobcats' top seven runners placed in the Top 50 overall and six of the seven Quinnipiac runners were separated by just 34 seconds in what will be the largest field of competitors at a meet this season. Quinnipiac earned 153 points to place third in the event while Ivy League powerhouse Princeton claimed the victory with 83 points followed by Haverford College in second with 130.

QU Men's Cross Country Places 5th (Out of 8) at Monmouth Invitational
The Quinnipiac men's cross country team wrapped up a solid showing at the Monmouth Invitational on Saturday with a 5th place finish out of eight teams. Four Bobcats placed within the Top 30 overall, led by junior Matt Mensher (Tolland, Conn.), as Quinnipiac compiled 106 points on the day. Monmouth picked up the team victory, racing from their home course at Holmdel Park, with 28 points overall.

QU Men's Cross Country Posts 6th Place Finish (Out of 8) at Shawn M. Nassaney Memorial Race
It was a career day for several Bobcat competitors for the Quinnipiac men’s cross country team at the Shawn M. Nassaney Memorial Race on Saturday afternoon hosted by Bryant University. The group of six Bobcats, all of which were making their 2014 season debuts, led the way for Quinnipiac who placed 6th in the team standings out of eight competitors. Northeastern claimed the team victory with 24 points while the Bobcats tallied 121 points on the afternoon.

Bobcats' men’s cross country junior Matt Mensher (Tolland, Conn.) and women’s rugby junior Natalie Kosko (Sebastian, Fla.) have been named the Quinnipiac August Athletes of the Month, which was announced on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014.

Men's Cross Country Opens 2014 Season With 3rd Place Finish at Stony Brook Invitational
The Quinnipiac men's cross country team kicked off their 2014 campaign with a 3rd place finish at the Stony Brook Invitational. The Bobcats (68 points) were paced by five runners who placed in the Top 22 finishers overall, including a career-best finish for junior Matt Mensher (Tolland, Conn.). The host Seawolves claimed first place with 19 points while Quinnipiac’s MAAC rival Fairfield barley outkicked the Bobcats with 66 points.

Men's Cross Country Picked Seventh in MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll
The Quinnipiac men's cross country team was chosen to finish seventh in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced on Tuesday, Aug. 12. The Bobcats return eight student-athletes from the 2013 squad, including the four top runners for Quinnipiac throughout last season.

Quinnipiac University men’s cross country head coach Carolyn Martin has announced the Bobcats’ 2014 schedule. Quinnipiac’s slate for the upcoming fall season will feature six meets leading up to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship on Oct. 31.
