Before Quinnipiac: Pitched and played first base at Salem High School in New Hampshire…During her junior season, Gubellini led Salem with a .456 batting average, 21 RBI and three home runs including a grand slam…She also was a stout pitcher as she accumulated a 11-1 record throwing a total of 87 innings with 116 strikeouts and 0.48 earned run average…Didn’t tamper off during her senior season as Gubellini finished with a 15-1 record with 11 shutouts and two no-hitters and had a 0.61 ERA...Gubellini recorded 149 strikeouts in 109 innings and also batted .493 with 23 RBI and .545 on base percentage…While at Salem, Gubellini was a three-time Eagle Tribune All-Star, Manchester Union Leader All-Star, named New Hampshire's Division I MVP for 2012 and received New Hampshire All-State honors in 2011 and 2012…She was in the running for the ESPNHS Player of the Year for New Hampshire…She was named the co-captain for the 2012 squad…She also played for the Central Mass Rapids travel team and was a member of the volleyball and winter track teams at Salem…Nicole was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society and is a member of Future Business Leaders of America…Was heavily involved in various church activities and volunteers with youth softball programs.
