Softball's Clash With UConn Scheduled for Thursday, March 27 Cancelled Due to Inclement Weather

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac University softball team was forced to cancel their game against UConn scheduled for Thursday, March 27 at 3:30 pm due to the inclement weather and field conditions. Attempts were made by both teams to move the game the Storrs but both team's playing surface was unfit for games and local weather reports call for temperatures in the low 40s with gusting winds up to 20 mph. No make-up date has been scheduled.

The Bobcats are still slated to play at Manhattan on Saturday for a weekend MAAC opening doubleheader starting at 1:00 pm from Gaelic Park in Riverdale, N.Y. They are also scheduled to take on Monmouth for a MAAC doubleheader at home on Sunday at 1:00 pm. There still is potential for more bad weather including rain, wind and temperatures in the 40s throughout the next couple days so Bobcat fans should continue to refer to the Official Website of Quinnipiac Athletics, www.QuinnipiacBobcats.com, for up-to-date schedule changes as well as news, scores and highlights.
