Women’s Basketball Ranked 11th in College Insider Mid-Major Poll

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team was ranked 11th in the most recent College Insider Mid-Major Poll, announced on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 by coaches on the committee.  The Bobcats are 19-2 overall and 10-0 in the NEC as they continue their best start in program history.

The College Insider Mid-Major poll featured Delaware in the top slot, taking 25 first place votes. Green Bay claimed second, the Bulldogs of Gonzaga garnered third, while Chattanooga and Toledo rounded out the top five. Other noteworthy teams include honorable mentions from Hartford, who defeated the Bobcats on Dec. 16th, and James Madison who the Bobcats defeated in their season-opener.

The Bobcats are back in action against the Blue Devils of Central Connecticut on Wednesday evening for the second time this season. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. at the Detrick Gymnasium in New Britain, Conn.
