Women’s Basketball Ranked 10th in Mid- Major Poll

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team was ranked 10th  in the most recent College Insider Mid-Major Poll, announced on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 by coaches on the committee.  The Bobcats are 25-2 overall and 16-0 in the NEC and currently contain the nation's fourth longest winning streak - which was extended to 17 games after their win on Monday against Bryant.

The College Insider Mid-Major poll featured Delaware in the top slot, taking 27 first place votes. Green Bay claimed second, the Bulldogs of Gonzaga garnered third, while Princeton and Chattanooga rounded out the top five. Other noteworthy teams include No. 23 James Madison, who the Bobcats defeated in their season-opener, and mentions of Hartford, who defeated the Bobcats on Dec. 16th.

The Bobcats return to action for their final road trip of the regular season as the Bobcats will take on the Blackbirds of LIU Brooklyn.  Tip-off will be at 2 p.m. at the Wellness Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
