Brittany McQuain Signs Professional Contract with DJK Brose Bamberg in Germany
Former Quinnipiac women's basketball standout Brittany McQuain (Independence, Mo.) will begin her professional career overseas in Germany, as the 5-11 forward has signed a contract with DJK Brose Bamberg in Germany. Terms of the contracts have not been disclosed.

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame has announced the game schedule for the 2014 Hall of Fame Women's Challenge, a tournament in which Quinnipiac University has drawn national runner-up Notre Dame and SEC affiliate Alabama.

Women's Basketball Falls To Villanova In WNIT First Round, 74-66
The Quinnipiac women’s basketball team fell to Villanova University, 74-66, in the first round of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) on Wednesday night. With the loss Quinnipiac ends their season with an overall record of 21-13, while the Wildcats move to 23-8 and move on to face George Washington in the second round.

Women's Basketball To Face Villanova On Wednesday, March 19th In WNIT First Round
For the third consecutive season, the Quinnipiac University women's basketball team (21-12, 14-6 MAAC) has qualified for national postseason tournament play. The Bobcats have accepted a bid into the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT), and will take on the Villanova Wildcats in the first round on Wednesday, March 19th. The tip off times will be announced on Tuesday. Quinnipiac will travel to Villanova for the opening round.

Seven members of the Quinnipiac University women's basketball team – Ellen Cannon (West Chester, Pa.), Katie Carroll (Westlake, Ohio), Samantha Guastella (Red Bank, N.J.), Jasmine Martin (Sicklerville, N.J.), Maria Napolitano (Cincinnati, Ohio), Jaci Oskam (Glenmont, N.Y.), and Camryn Warner (Keene, N.H.) – were all named to the 2013-14 MAAC Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, announced on Friday, March 7 by the league office.

Despite a valiant team effort and several scintillating individual performances, the fourth-seeded Quinnipiac University women’s basketball team fell short to second-seeded Marist College, 70-66, in the 2014 MAAC Tournament Championship at the MassMutual Center in Springfield on Monday. Brittany McQuain (Independence, Mo.) led the Bobcats with 20 points and 12 rebounds in the game.

The fourth-seeded Quinnipiac University women’s basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Tournament on Friday evening with a 72-61 victory over fifth-seeded Canisius College at the MassMutual Center in Springfield. The Bobcats, now 20-11 on the season, will face top-seeded Iona College on Sunday, March 9 at 11 a.m.

Patricia Hayes and Keith Gaither Recognized at MAAC Honor Roll Induction
In conjunction with the 2014 MAAC Basketball Championships at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass., the MAAC announced the latest class to be inducted in the MAAC Honor Roll, in which honorees will be enshrined in "The MAAC Experience" exhibit at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Longtime Bobcat fans, Patricia Hayes and Keith Gaither, have been rewarded with the honor on Quinnipiac's behalf.

Women's Basketball Places McQuain, Martin, And Abshire On All-MAAC Teams
Senior forward Brittany McQuain (Independence, Mo.) and junior guard Jasmine Martin (Sicklerville, N.J.) were named to the All-MAAC Second Team while junior guard Gillian Abshire (Washington, D.C.) was named to the All- MAAC third team as announced today by the league office. The All-MAAC first team, second team, third team, and All-Rookie teams were selected by a vote of the league's head coaches.

Women's Basketball Closes Out Regular Season With Win Over Manhattan, 86-78
Brittany McQuain (Independence, Mo.) and Jasmine Martin (Sicklerville, N.J.) finished out the regular season in impressive fashion as they paced the Bobcats to an 86-78 victory over Manhattan College on Saturday afternoon in Riverdale. Quinnipiac finishes their inaugural regular season in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with a 19-11 overall record and a 14-6 conference record.

Women's Basketball Closes Out Regular Season At Manhattan On Saturday, March 1st At 2 PM
The Quinnipiac women's basketball team (18-11, 13-6 MAAC) will travel to Riverdale, N.Y. to take on the Manhattan Jaspers (9-19, 8-11 MAAC) on Saturday, March 1 at 2 PM. The game will mark the final regular season game of 2013-14. Quinnipiac has already clinched a first round bye in the MAAC tournament while the Jaspers can finish anywhere from 5th to 8th depending on results.

Despite 26 points from Brittany McQuain (Independence, Mo.) and 23 points from Jasmine Martin (Sicklerville, N.J.), the Quinnipiac University women’s basketball team saw its three-game winning streak snapped by way of an 80-72 loss to Iona College at the TD Bank Sports Center. With the loss, the Bobcats fell to 18-11 overall and 13-6 in league play.

The Quinnipiac women’s basketball team (18-10, 13-5 MAAC) will host to the top ranked team in the MAAC, the Iona Gaels (24-3, 17-1 MAAC) on Thursday Feb. 27th at 6 P.M. The Gaels have won five straight and were selected to finish second in the conference in the preseason poll. Quinnipiac was selected third in the poll.

The Quinnipiac women's basketball team (17-10, 12-5 MAAC) will host the Saint Peter's Peacocks (3-23, 2-15 MAAC) on Saturday, Feb. 22nd at 4 PM. It will be a special day as the Bobcats will honor the senior members of the women's basketball program. The Bobcats will honor Ellen Cannon, Brittany McQuain, and Camryn Warner. These three seniors have helped produce the most win of any class in the Division I era (83 wins).

The depth of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference reared its ugly head on Thursday night, but it was the Quinnipiac University women’s basketball team who prevailed in a hard fought victory at the Alumni Recreation Center. The Bobcats defeated the Saints of Siena College, 76-66, in Loudonville.

The Quinnipiac University women’s basketball team clicked on all cylinders on Sunday afternoon and cruised to an 83-50 victory over Monmouth University at the TD Bank Sports Center. With the win, Quinnipiac improved to 16-10 overall and 11-5 in MAAC competition. Brittany McQuain (Independence, Mo.) led all scorers with 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the win.

The Quinnipiac University women’s basketball team had four players finish in double figures, but it was not enough as the seven time defending Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champions, Marist College, defeated the visiting Bobcats, 100-81 in a game televised nationally on ESPN U. With the loss, Quinnipiac falls to 15-10 overall and 10-5 in MAAC play, while the Red Foxes improve to 20-6 overall and 14-2 in MAAC play.

Winners in seven out of their last eight games now, the Bobcats improved to 15-9 overall and 10-4 in conference play behind 18 points from senior forward Brittany McQuain (Independence, Mo.).

Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. Fans are welcomed to join the team, coaches, and staff as they look to make a difference in the fight against women's cancers through the 2014 Play 4Kay Initiative. Samantha Guastella (Red Bank, N.J) scored a career high 24 points and Jasmine Martin (Sicklerville, N.J.) added 16 points to pace the Bobcats in their New Jersey homecoming on Friday night in West Long Branch. Quinnipiac went on to defeat the Monmouth Hawks, 83-67, and improve to 14-9 overall and 9-4 MAAC while Monmouth falls to 6-19 overall and 5-9 MAAC.

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – Paced by a 14-2 run to start the second half, the Quinnipiac Bobcats defeated the Rider Broncs, 54-44, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup at Alumni Gymnasium in Lawrenceville, N.J. Quinnipiac held Rider to 16.7 percent shooting in the second half and held the second leading scorer in the conference, MyNeshia McKenzie, to just seven points. The Bobcats, winners in four straight games now, improve to 12-8 overall including a 7-3 mark in MAAC play while Rider drops to 8-10 overall and 4-5 in conference play.

The Quinnipiac Women’s Basketball Team (11-8, 6-3 MAAC) will travel to Lawrenceville, N.J. to take on the Rider Broncs (8-9, 4-4 MAAC) on Tuesday, January 21st, 2014. The game was originally scheduled for a 7:00 p.m., but the impending winter storm has forced officials move the game earlier in the day to 1:30 p.m. Quinnipiac and Rider last met on January 3rd as the Bobcats defeated the Broncs, 71-59.

Samantha Guastella (Red Bank, N.J.) had the hot hand on Saturday afternoon as she netted six threes en route to a career high 22 points to lead the Quinnipiac women’s basketball team past Siena, 70-49, on Lender Court at the TD Bank Sports Center. Maria Napolitano (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Adily Martucci (Waterford, Conn.) both scored career highs with 20 and 17 points respectively. Samantha Guastella (Red Bank, NJ) and Jasmine Martin (Sicklerville, NJ) each scored 13 points to give the Bobcats four players in double figures. Quinnipiac went on to defeat the Niagara Purple Eagles, 84-61, in their final game of 2013. Quinnipiac improves to 7-7 overall and 2-1 in the MAAC, while Niagara falls to 2-8 overall and 0-1 in league play.

Martin And Abshire Power Bobcats To First MAAC Win Over Canisius, 65-55
Jasmine Martin (Sicklerville,NJ) led all scorers with 22 points, 15 of which came in the second half. Martin went 7-15 from the field and 4-5 from beyond the arc. Gillian Abshire (Washington) added to her MAAC leading 6.8 assists per game with nine assists on the game. With the nine assists she passes Brianna Rooney '09 (344) and Erin Kerner '09 (342) on the all-time Quinnipiac assists list. Abshire sits in seventh place all alone with 349 career assists.

Women's Basketball Edged By Marist in First MAAC Action, 69-63
Jasmine Martin (Sicklerville, N.J.) scored a game-high 22 points in Friday night's ESPN3 clash with Marist, but in the end it was the Red Foxes who prevailed with a 69-63 victory at the TD Bank Sports Center. With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 4-5 overall and 0-1 in league play - in a game that marked Quinnipiac's first MAAC game in program history. Eight-time reigning MAAC champion Marist improved to 4-4 on the season and 1-0 in conference action.

Behind double figures from Gillian Abshire (Washington, D.C.) and Brittany McQuain (Independence, Mo.), the Quinnipiac University women's basketball team defeated in-state rival Hartford, 62-49, at the TD Bank Sports Center on Wednesday night. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 4-4 on the season while the visiting Hawks fell to 1-7 overall. The game was aired live throughout the region on NESN.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Brittany McQuain (Independence,Mo.) scored a career high 28 points to along with 12 rebounds and went 10-11 from the free throw line in her Missouri homecoming as Quinnipiac defeated Missouri State 75-65 at JQH Arena. Jasmine Martin (Sickerville,NJ) had 13 points and four rebounds while Maria Napolitano (Cincinatti,Ohio), Camryn Warner (Keene,NH), and Ellen Cannon (West Chester, Pa.) each chipped in with nine points. Quinnipiac moves to 3-3 overall. Quinnipiac will have a few days off for Thanksgiving before hosting St Joseph’s on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 1 pm.

Despite a career high from Gillian Abshire (Washington, D.C.) with 20 points and a career high from Nikoline Ostergaard (Vedbaek, Denmark) with 14 points, as well as holding Preseason Wooden Award Nominee Shoni Schimmel to 1-for-13 shooting, the Quinnipiac Bobcats fell to nationally-ranked No. 5 Louisville on Monday night in the Preseason WNIT, 100-82. Members of the Quinnipiac University women’s basketball and women’s ice hockey teams recently enjoyed a trip to Bear Path Elementary School as part of QU's Positive Play Initiative - a program that is designed to heighten community service activity by Quinnipiac's student-athletes, coaches and staff.
