Quinnipiac Women’s Basketball to Play National Runner-Up Notre Dame and Alabama in 2014 Hall of Fame Challenge

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame has announced the game schedule for the 2014 Hall of Fame Women's Challenge, a tournament in which Quinnipiac University has drawn national runner-up Notre Dame and SEC affiliate Alabama.

The Hall of Fame Women's Challenge, hosted by the Hall of Fame and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, is an annual women's exempt college basketball tournament featuring eight schools. All event proceeds will benefit the non-profit Hall of Fame.

Quinnipiac's first action will take place on the campus of Notre Dame in South Bend. The Bobcats open the four-game invitational against Harvard University on Sunday, Nov. 23; then take on Holy Cross on Monday, Nov. 24; and complete the three-game set against national powerhouse Notre Dame on Tuesday, Nov. 25. The tournament concludes on Sunday, Nov. 30 with the remaining four games to be played at Mohegan Sun Arena. Quinnipiac drew Alabama for the finale.

The eight competing teams include: Harvard University, Quinnipiac University, Holy Cross, University of Notre Dame, Temple University, Georgetown University, University of Kansas and University of Alabama.
