EGG HARBOR, N.J. – Quinnipiac senior Kayla Ketcheson (St. Andrews, Manitoba) and freshman Jenn Whaley (Farmington, Conn.) both shot an opening-round 79 for a tie of 13th place at the ECAC Division I Championship at Twisted Dune Golf Course in Egg Harbor Township, N.J. The Bobcats currently sit in 8th place after the first round of the two-day tournament.

"The course is the toughest course that these golfers will see all year," head coach John O'Connor said. "I'm not real happy with their results but extremely happy with their efforts. I look to move up in the standings tomorrow and I'm hopeful for lower rounds from all five golfers."
