As a Sophomore in 2012-13: One of the most-reliable forwards for the Bobcats in her second season as she appeared in 34 games throughout 2012-13…The team leader in assists throughout the season with 28 total, she also scored 11 goals to give her 39 points in her second season…Named to the ECAC Hockey Third Team for her first yearly postseason award…Won her first career ECAC Hockey Player of the Week after either scoring or assisting on all five of the Bobcats’ goals over a weekend road series at Colgate and Cornell…Broke the program record point scoring streak as she extended her streak that began ending the 2011-12 season to 11 games in the 2012-13 season...Her 11-game scoring streak broke the record previously held by Kelly Babstock (eight games)…Announced a finalist for the ECAC Hockey Best Defensive Forward award…Her elite vision and passing ability is evidenced by the fact that she was the “lead” assist on 11 of her 15 helpers in ECAC Hockey action and 16 of her 28 for the overall season…Finished 16th in Division I with a 0.82 assists-per-game average…When called upon to shoot the puck she did not shy away as she totaled 133 shots-on-goal this season, good for second-most on the team…She played on the top line of the Quinnipiac power play and penalty-killing units throughout the season and posted 16 blocked shots in 34 games…Yielded a remarkable streak as she didn’t commit a penalty in conference play until the Bobcats’ game at Yale on Feb. 22 (21 games into ECAC Hockey schedule)…Finished tied for the fewest penalty minutes (two) among ECAC Hockey skaters who played all 22 conference games…Despite being on the first penalty-killing line for Quinnipiac and on-ice for all but one penalty kill all season, she had only been on-ice for nine of the 16 power-play goals (56.3 percent) allowed this season by the Bobcats…Finished with 12 multi-point games and two multi-goal games to give her 20 and three for her career, respectively…She also finished with a +31 plus/minus rating, good for sixth-best in the conference and fourth-best among forwards…Enters her third season with 72 points (19 goals, 53 assists) in 68 career games…Kickstarted her season with an incredible 11 points (one goal, 10 assists) through her first four games as she found herself ranked in the Top 5 in points-per-game average two weeks into the season…Began the year with three assists in the season opener against Mercyhurst on 10/5…Notched a goal or assist (one goal, two assists) in all three goals scored by the Bobcats in their 10/6 matchup against Mercyhurst…Followed with another three assist game on 10/12 in a victory over Maine…Chipped in two more assists on 10/13 in another win over the Black Bears…Scored her first career hat trick on 10/27 against Dartmouth as she also chipped in an assist to give her a career-high four points in a win over the Big Green…Also pumped in a single-game program record +5 plus/minus rating in the 10/27 contest with Dartmouth…Assisted on both goals, including the game-winner, in the Bobcats’ 2-1 victory over Colgate on 11/2…Scored two goals and assisted on another to give her three points against Cornell on 11/3…Won the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week following her five-point weekend outburst…Scored her first power-play goal of the season on 11/10 against Rensselaer…Finished with one assist in each game of a back-to-back against Clarkson and St. Lawrence on 11/16 and 11/17…Scored one goal in a 11/20 showdown with New Hampshire…Began another streak off three straight multi-point games on 11/24 with two assists in a victory over UConn…Followed with one goal and one assist on 11/30 against Rensselaer…Completed the streak with two assists in a 12/1 victory over Union…Registered one assist on 12/8 against Princeton…Finished a weekend two-game series on 1/17 – 1/18 against Robert Morris with one goal (shorthanded) and one assist…Finished with one assist in a 5-0 win over Brown on 2/1…Chimed in with two assists, including the main assist on the game-tying goal with less than 40 seconds remaining, on 2/2 against Yale…Scored her second power-play goal of the season to go along with one assist on 2/10 against Colgate…Landed one assist in a 2/22 showdown with Yale.
As a Freshman in 2011-12: Participated in 34 games…Finished second on the team in points (33), tied for fourth in goals (8), first in assists (25), tied for second in plus/minus (+11), and second in shots (123)…Her 25 assists were good for a tie for 27th in the nation among all Division I skaters and third among all freshman…Was named ECAC Hockey Freshman of the Week on two consecutive weeks between 2/17 and 2/26 after finishing with back-to-back five point weekends…Her impressive season garnered Rookie of the Year honors at the team’s annual banquet…Currently riding a seven-game point streak to end last season, placing her in a tie with Kelly Babstock for the second longest streak among women skaters in program history…Kosta registered her first career assist against Maine on 10/8 in a 4-3 loss…Finished with two points including her first career goal to go along with an assist in a 5-4 loss against Maine on 10/9…Tallied an assist on the team’s only goal in a 3-1 loss against Northeastern on 10/15…Registered an assist in a 5-1 victory over Union on 10/29…Finished a 3-0 victory over Yale on 11/5 with two assists…Recorded a single-game career high eight shots in a 3-0 defeat to Clarkson on 11/11…Collected an assist on 11/12 in a 3-2 victory over St. Lawrence…Assisted on the game-winning goal in addition to registering a goal and an another assist for a three-point performance in a 6-2 win over Colgate on 11/18…Had an assist in perhaps the most memorable moment on the year for the Bobcats as her touch-pass to Babstock led to the game-tying goal with 10 seconds remaining in regulation…Quinnipiac went on to defeat the No. 4-ranked Eagles 2-1 in overtime on 11/22, defeating the highest ranked opponent in program history…Recorded a shorthanded goal in the waning seconds to clinch a 4-2 victory over UConn in the first round of the Nutmeg Classic Tournament on 11/25…Tallied two power-play assists to help the team in claiming the Nutmeg Classic Tournament Championship in a 3-2 win over Robert Morris on 11/26…Assisted on the game-winning goal against Princeton on 12/9 in a 1-0 win…Finished with two assists against Colgate on 1/14 in a 4-1 victory…Netted a goal in a 3-0 victory over Syracuse on 1/27…Registered an assist each in defeats to Harvard and Dartmouth on 2/3 and 2/4…Finished the season with 12 points in her last seven games between 2/11 and 3/2…Started the streak with an assist in a 3-2 loss to Clarkson on 2/11…Scored the game-winning goal while also adding two assists against Union on 2/17 in a 6-2 win…Capped the regular season with two assists in a 5-1 win against Rensselaer on 2/18…Led all Bobcat skaters in postseason play with six points in four games…Scored the game-winning goal to go along with another goal and an assist in the Bobcat’s first round 4-1 victory over Clarkson in game one of the ECAC Hockey Tournament on 2/24…Assisted on the team’s only goal in a 2-1 loss on 2/25 to Clarkson in game two of the ECAC Hockey Tournament first round…Netted the game-winning power-play goal against Clarkson in a 2-0 victory that sent Quinnipiac into the ECAC Hockey Tournament Semifinals…Registered an assist on the team’s only goal in a 5-1 loss to Cornell on 3/2 in the ECAC Hockey Tournament Semifinal.
Before Quinnipiac: Attended St. Aloysuis Gonzaga…Played basketball, hockey, soccer and softball…Won a hockey league championship in 2010… Played in the World Championships in Sweden in 2011 for U-18 Team Canada…Played for the Mississauga Junior Chiefs…Helped the squad to a Union College Fall Festival Championship, USA/Canada Cup Championship, Provincial Women’s Hockey League Regular Season and Overall Championship…Was team captain and registered 25 goals and 35 assists in 31 games played.
