"Playing in Frozen Four not a goal for Quinnipiac but still a dream," written by USCHO.com's Arlan Martilla, Oct. 10, 2013

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team was recently featured in a weekly column entitled This Week in Women's D-I from USCHO.com Women's Division I columnist Arlan Marttila. The article discusses the Bobcats' potential this season and previews the team as well as several key returners and newcomers. In addition, the article also highlights Quinnipiac's hosting the 2014 Women's Frozen Four at season's end.

The Bobcats kick started the new season with a 1-0-1 weekend on the road against St. Cloud State and now return home for a pair of non-conference showdowns with Penn State. Quinnipiac, picked to finish fourth in the ECAC Hockey Preseason Poll, has received votes in both the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine and USCHO.com weekly national poll and is looking for a breakout year in 2013-14.

The home of the Quinnipiac Bobcats, the High Point Solutions Arena, will serve as host to the 2014 Women's Frozen Four from March 21-23. This marks the first time Quinnipiac has ever hosted an NCAA National Championship and the first time an ECAC Hockey school has hosted the Women's Frozen Four on campus since its inception in 2001.
