Shiann Darkangelo Featured in Hometown Livingston Daily Following Late-Game Heroics against Boston College

"Brighton grad scores winning goal in women's college hockey upset," written by Livingston Daily sports reporter Brian Beaupied

HOWELL, Mich. – After a pair of sensational outings two weekends ago, Quinnipiac women's ice hockey junior forward Shiann Darkangelo (Brighton, Mich.) was featured in her hometown newspaper the Livingston Daily. Darkangelo was one for the heroics as she knocked home the game-winning goal to lift her team to a 3-2 victory over then-No. 5 ranked Boston College.

In an article written by Livingston Daily sports reporter Brian Beaupied, Darkangelo was the featured player in a weekly college roundup on hometown kids excelling in various sports across the country. The piece also discusses the Brighton, Mich. native's journey to Quinnipiac after suiting up for a gold medal winning U.S. Under-18 National Team in 2010 and her first two collegiate seasons at Syracuse University before transferring to the Bobcats.

The No. 8 ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats and Darkangelo will be back in action on Tuesday night from Hobey Baker Memorial Rink as they take on the Princeton Tigers at 7 pm.
