Swedish Olympian Erica Uden Johansson Featured on NBC Connecticut; Sweden Next Plays Germany Tuesday at 5:00 A.M.

SOCHI, Russia, - Quinnipiac women's ice hockey's and two-time Olympian Erica Uden Johansson (Sundsvall, Sweden) was recently highlighted by NBC Connecticut in a video feature in preparation for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. Uden Johansson was recently chosen among a group of 21 players on Jan. 21, 2014 to compete in the 2014 Winter Olympics for Team Sweden. This will be her second appearance as a member of Team Sweden in the Olympics as she also competed in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

Sweden has already kicked off play in Group B action as they defeated Japan, 1-0, early Sunday morning and will next play Germany on Tuesday at 5:00 a.m. The game will not be broadcasted on NBC's five affiliates but can be streamed live through the official homepage for Olympic Hockey. Uden Johansson starred in Sweden's 1-0 victory on Sunday morning as she recorded a game-high four shots-on-goal and helped play solid defense in front to earn the shutout victory over Japan.
