Quinnipiac Women's Ice Hockey Leads ECAC Hockey With 17 All-Academic Honorees

The Quinnipiac University women's ice hockey team placed an ECAC Hockey-leading 17 student-athletes on the 2013-14 All-Academic Team. Quinnipiac tied Brown and Rensselaer for the most in ECAC Hockey.

Players are eligible for the All-Academic team if they earn a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or have a GPA over 3.00 over the past three semesters. Of the 17 Quinnipiac student-athletes eligible, seniors Olivia Brackett, Ashley Winslow and Elena Orlando were honored for the fourth time in their four-year career, while senior captain Amanda Colin earned her third consecutive award. 

Juniors Anna Borgfeldt, Nicole Kosta and Chelsea Laden were all honored for the third consecutive year, while sophomores Lindsey West,  Nicole Connery and Kristen Tamberg received their second-consecutive all-academic honor in as many years. First-time honorees include sophomore Nicole Brown and freshmen Taryn Baumgardt, Emma Greco, Danielle Marmer, Sydney Rossman, Meghan Turner and Emma Woods
