QU Women’s Ice Hockey Ranked Fourth in Preseason Coaches’ Poll
The Quinnipiac Women’s Ice Hockey team has been ranked No. 4 in the ECAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. Quinnipiac received 95 points in the preseason poll, one more point than their fourth place ranking in last year's preseason poll.

Shiann Darkangelo Named to the U.S. Women’s National Team Evaluation Camp
Quinnipiac women’s ice hockey senior forward Shiann Darkangelo (Brighton, Michigan) continues to shine with USA Women’s Hockey as she has been named to the U.S. Women’s National Team Evaluation Camp. Only 35 players are invited to the camp taking place from Sept. 12-15 at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.

Quinnipiac Women's Ice Hockey Associate Head Coach Cassie Turner Leads Team Canada; Shiann Darkangelo Stars For Team USA
The Quinnipiac women’s ice hockey associate head coach Cassandra Turner, serving as the head coach of Canada’s U18 National Team, led Team Canada to a 2-1 series win against the United States. Additionally, Quinnipiac forward Shiann Darkangelo (Brighton, Michigan), as a member of the United States U22 team led Team USA to a three-game series swept against Team Canada.

The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team wrapped up its 10-day tour of Italy on Friday, August 22 with a beautiful day in Rome. The Bobcats walked throughout the ancient and historical city with a full three-hour tour of the Vatican City along with a stop at the Coliseum and finally a tradition Italian dinner to send off the travel party in grand fashion.

Morgan Fritz-Ward Named Women's Ice Hockey Captain for 2014-15 Season
Quinnipiac women's ice hockey head coach Rick Seeley and his staff have announced that senior forward Morgan Fritz-Ward (Mason City, Iowa) has been named the team captain for the upcoming 2014-15 season. The Bobcats are coming off their fifth straight ECAC Hockey Tournament appearance in 2013-14 and finished last season with their best single-season record (22-6-9) in program history.

The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team spent their Thursday sight-seeing all throughout the historical and breathtaking city of Rome. Among the many stops along the way included the Coliseum, Pantheon, Capitol, the Statue of David, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.

Already a week into the trip aboard, the team has one final bus trip tomorrow before capping off their international experience in Rome for the last three days before returning home on August 23.

Shiann Darkangelo Selected for Team USA U-22 National Team; Will Face Canada in Three-Game Series This Weekend
Quinnipiac women's ice hockey senior forward Shiann Darkangelo (Brighton, Mich.) was one of 22 players selected to compete for the Team USA Under-22 National Team in a three-game series against Team Canada on Aug. 21-24. Team USA's announcement on Sunday, Aug. 17 marks Darkangelo's second appearance as a member of Team USA, first making the USA U-18 National Team back in 2010.

Women's Ice Hockey Topples Zurich, 6-1, in Exhibition from Switzerland
The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team put on an offensive clinic from KEB Oerlikon Arena as the Bobcats pumped in six unanswered goals to defeat the Zurich Lions, 6-1, on Sunday night from Switzerland. Nicole Kosta (Mississauga, Ontario) and Kelly Babstock (Mississauga, Ontario) led the charge for Quinnipiac with three points each while Ashley Winslow (Portland, Me.) stonewalled the Lions with 13 saves to pick up a well-earned victory.

The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team departed JFK International Airport on Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 5:30 pm, arriving in Milan at 7:30 am on Wednesday, Aug. 13 local time in Italy. The Bobcats were greeted by their EuroSportsTours guides and embarked on their first trip of their 11-day tour around Europe.

Quinnipiac University women’s ice hockey head coach Rick Seeley has announced the Bobcats 2014-15 schedule. Quinnipiac’s schedule for the upcoming season will consist of 14 regular-season home games and two preseason match-ups.
