HAMDEN, Conn. Ashley Valentine (Friendship, Md.) of the Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team was named a participant in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association/Under-Armour North-South Senior All-Star Game for Division I. The game will be played in Downingtown, Pa., on Saturday, June 13 and will feature 43 players from across Division I split into Northern and Southern teams. Valentine is the first Quinnipiac player ever to be selected to participate in the game. Players must have completed their final year of eligibility to play in the game.
"I'm thrilled that Ashley was chosen to participate in the senior all-star game," said Head Coach Danie Caro. "This is a tremendous opportunity for her to play with and against some of the top players in the country, and I am confident she will represent Quinnipiac University with distinction."
Valentine will be joined by two other players from the Northeast Conference on the Northern Team as Amanda Williams and Mary Montesarchio from Sacred Heart were also selected. The NEC will also have one representative on the Southern Team as Katelyn Catanese from Mount St. Mary's was also selected to play.
