"Devon had a tremendous pair of games for us," said head coach Danie Caro. "She has become our top shut-down defender and is producing at both ends of the field. I'm really happy that she is being recognized for her play going into the NEC Tournament."

She ranks first on the team with 41 draw controls and is second on the squad with 19 caused turnovers. This is Gibney's second Player of the Week selection of the season and her third-career selection overall.
Martello was the staple of Quinnipiac's defense in the final two games of the regular season, as she allowed just eight goals apiece against Mount St. Mary's and Monmouth. The junior made nine saves on Thursday against Mount. St. Mary's and another 13 stops on Saturday against Monmouth.
"Noelle came up big for us in both games this past weekend," said Caro. "She is really playing with a lot of confidence right now, and that is helping to elevate everyone's play on defense."
On Saturday against Monmouth, Martello earned her 10th win of the season, tying the program-record for most wins in a season. She currently leads the NEC in conference games' goals against average (7.83) and save percentage (.561). The junior also leads all goalies with a .505 save percentage in all games combined. This marks the first time in Martello's career in which she has been named NEC Defensive Player of the Week
