Senior attacker Devon Rhodes added three goals. In addition to the multiple-goal outings from DeVito and Rhodes, Yale also got a pair of goals from sophomore midfielder Erin Magnuson on Saturday. Sophomore midfielder Christina Doherty, sophomore attacker Kerri Fleishhacker, junior midfielder Courteney Rutter and freshman midfielder Kelly Anne Sherlock also scored. Doherty added four draw controls and three ground balls. Junior goalkeeper Erin McMullan had four ground balls and three caused turnovers to go along with her six saves.

All- Time Against The Bulldogs
Wednesday's game will mark the first meeting between these two programs.

About Connecticut
The Huskies are coming off their first victory of the 2013 season in which they defeated Iona, 13-2, on Saturday, Feb. 23. Connecticut's offense was led by junior midfield Lauren Kahn (six goals) and senior Morgan O'Reilly (four goals).  The Huskies' goalkeepers Shannon Nee and Marya Fratoni split the minutes evenly with 30 each. In the net, Nee allowed one goal and recorded a save, while Fratoni was credited with two saves and one goal allowed.   The Huskies were picked to finish sixth in the Big East pre-season poll after finishing the 2012 season overall at 10-6 and 3-5 in the Big East.

All-Time Against The Huskies
Saturday's game will be the 14th time the two sides face each other on the turf. Connecticut leads the all-time record, 11-2, and in the last five matchups the Bobcats have gone, 2-3. In their most recent meeting on February, 25, 2012, the Huskies came away with an 18-6 victory over the Bobcats.

On The Cusp
A program-record is on the verge of being broken, as all are held by former Quinnipiac women's lacrosse great, Katie Latonick '10. Sarah Allen is just one assist away from tying her all-time assist total of 111.

She Shoots She Scores
Senior Lianne Toomey tallied at least one goal in every game of the 2012 season. Toomey finished the regular season with third overall on the team with 31 goals, as well as points (43).

Allen Tops 100 – And The Nation's Best
Sarah Allen became just the second player in program history to top the 100-assist mark. She now stands at 110 assists, behind only Katie Latonick's ('10) career total of 111. In the 2012 season, Allen broke the program's single season assist mark (previously 44 set by Latonick in both 2009 and 2010), and currently sits in third-place all-time in program single-season points. Allen was recognized as the 2012 NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Statistical Champion in two categories; assists and assists per game.

Sophomore Strong
Sophomore attack Kyra Ochwat embarks on her second season in Bobcats uniform after a stand out freshman campaign.  The sophomore's rookie season ranks up there as one of the best in program history, as she was just two goals away from tying the all-time rookie record for single-season goals, 35, set by Marta Waldron in 1999. Ochwat finished just short of Waldron's 44 single season points set by a rookie with 39.

Senior Affair
Four seniors will suit up for their last season on the turf this year, Sarah Allen, Kiera Carey, Chelsea Guerrea and Leanne Toomey, looking to continue where they started and build on winning a championship. "Our four have done a great job keeping the team focused in practice," said Head Coach Danie Caro. "They really feel a sense of urgency as their careers are coming to an end. They have unfinished business and would love to become the first class to win two NEC championships."

Bobcats 2013 Season Preview
Quinnipiac enters the 2013 season with their eyes set on the NEC Tournament title. The Bobcats' 2012 season (7-2 NEC, 8-8 overall) saw record-breaking performances, from senior attack Sarah Allen and sophomore Kyra Ochwat writing new records for Quinnipiac. The motivation to remain as one of the top programs in the conference with a tough pre-season slate it will pose a challenge for the Bobcats as they continue under eight year veteran head coach Danie Caro.

"We're very excited for the season to start. We made some significant changes to our playing style this year, so it will be fun to see how we stack up against the opposition. We have a very challenging non-conference slate of games, but we believe that those tough games early will get us ready for NEC competition."

As a team, Quinnipiac ranked towards the top of the conference in nearly every category. The squad was second in goals per game (10.88), first in assists per game (7.25), first in points per game (18.12). Quinnipiac finished third with .458 in save percentage per game as well as third in shots on goal (20.00).

"We should be fairly solid at every position, but really expect our offense to be our strength. Our challenge will be consistency from game to game and play to play. Staying healthy and continuing to develop some of our younger players will be two keys to our preparation for NEC play starting in mid-March."

Back In The Net
Sophomore goalie Samantha Tilts will join the Bobcats in the net as the goalie for the 2013 season.  The young goalkeeper played in 11 of the 16 games last season and started in six.  Tilts after playing significant minutes during her freshman campaign slots a 10.92 goals against average and .453 in the saves category.  She finished last season 2-3 and will be pushed for playing time by two freshmen, Rachel Massicotte, and Jill Beucler.

"We're fortunate to have Sam back in net this year. She is very good at directing her defenders, and she has been working on improving her overall game. I expect Rachel and Jill to push her a bit, and hope the competition among them results in stringer play from all of them."

Season Schedule
Following Wednesday's game, Quinnipiac will host the University of Connecticut Huskies on Saturday, March 2 at 12p.m. before going on the road for five straight non-conference games. After UConn, the Bobcats travel to Iona on Wednesday, March 6 at 3 p.m. and then head to Vermont on Saturday for a 1 p.m. face-off.

The Bobcats open NEC play at home on Friday, March 22nd against Sacred Heart. The Pioneers shared the 2012 regular-season title with the Bobcats and served as the host of the NEC Tournament. SHU outlasted QU, 10-9, in their lone encounter last season.

The Bobcats hit the road for two straight games before returning to the QU Lacrosse Turf Field. Quinnipiac travels to Bryant on March 28th (7 PM) and Central Connecticut on March 30th (1 PM).
