Emily Mason is in her first season as an undergraduate studentassistant coach for the Women’s Lacrosse program.
Mason played defense for the Bobcats before suffering acareer-ending injury in fall of 2012. She was named to the NECAcademic Honor Roll each year of her career, and was named to theIWLCA Academic Honor Roll award. Mason has been an activeparticipant in the Quinnipiac Athletics Positive Play programthroughout her career. She served as the lacrosse team’sPositive Play captain in 2010-2011 and 2011-12, helping her squadearn the Positive Play award. Emily has also served on the StudentAthlete Advisory Council (SAAC), serving as treasurer in 2011-12.She was honored as a SAAC All-Star award for her contributions lastyear.
Mason is majoring in Psychology and Elementary Education. Shewill graduate this spring and will begin classes for the Masters inthe Art of Teaching program at Quinnipiac this summer. She is amember of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society inPsychology.
In addition to her role as a undergraduate assistant for theBobcats, Mason also serves as a Head Coach for the NewLax LacrosseClub. She also is a volunteer assistant for the Wilton High SchoolLacrosse team and helps coach for the Wilton Lacrosse Association.During the summer she is also on staff at GameDay Lacrosse camps inNew York City. Last summer she worked at the Nike Lacrosse Campwhere she introduced lacrosse to inner city youth in NYC.
