Former Quinnipiac women's lacrosse stand-out Katy Fairbrother (Delagi) '08 enters her third year with the Bobcats' coaching staff after being hired as an assistant coach for the 2013-14 season. 

While a member of the women’s lacrosse team, Fairbrother was named to the Northeast Conference All-Tournament team in 2008 and was named Quinnipiac Women’s Lacrosse Outstanding Attacker of the Year that same year. In her four-year career, she scored 63 goals in 63 games while also compiling 34 assists for a total of 97 points. Fairbrother currently is a physical education teacher at Lee H. Kellogg School in Falls Village, Connecticut.

While at Quinnipiac, Fairbrother made the Dean’s List and was a Scholar Athlete in both 2007 and 2008. She received the Gene Schmidt Alumni Award which is awarded to a Bay Shore High School outstanding alumni who continues excellence in academic and sports in college. Fairbrother also received athletic training experience from 2006-2008 working with the Quinnipiac Women’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer, and Men’s Lacrosse teams.

Fairbrother graduated from Quinnipiac in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science Studies. She went on to get a Master of Arts degree in Physical Education from Adelphi University in 2010. In 2011, she was named Varsity Assistant Girls Lacrosse coach at Fairfield Ludlowe High School in Fairfield, Connecticut. In 2012, she became the Head Girls Lacrosse Coach at Fairfield Ludlowe High School and also received certification in Health Education from Gateway Community College.

Fairbrother, a native of Bay Shore, New York, currently resides in Wallingford, Connecticut with her husband Brian.
