Women’s Rugby Takes Third Place in National Tournament; Bobcats Come From Behind to Defeat Buffalo, 22-12
STANFORD, Calif. –The third ranked Quinnipiac University Women’s rugby team defeated the University of Buffalo, 22-12, on Saturday morning in the Emirates Airlines Collegiate National Tournament consolation game at Stuber Rugby Stadium in Stanford, Calif. With the win, the Bobcats conclude their 2012-13 campaign with a 15-1 record.

Women’s Rugby Falls in National Semifinal to Winona State, 60-22
The No. 3 ranked Quinnipiac University women’s rugby team fell to No. 2 Winona State, 60-22, in the semifinal round of the 2013 Emirates Airline Collegiate National Tournament on Friday afternoon. Quinnipiac suffered its first loss of the season, falling to 14-1 overall. The Bobcats have outscored its opponents, 718-145, this year.

The Quinnipiac University women's rugby team defeated Appalachian State University on Saturday afternoon, 22-10, at the Brigade Sports Complex on U.S. Naval Academy Campus. With the win, Quinnipiac improves to 14-0 on the season and has advanced to the National Semifinals which is to be hosted on Friday, May 3rd at Steuber Rugby Stadium (Stanford University) in Stanford, CA.

Women’s Rugby Defeats Lee, 25-20; Bobcats Advance to National Quarterfinals
The Quinnipiac University women's rugby team topped Lee University on Saturday afternoon, 25-20, at the Brigade Sports Complex on U.S. Naval Academy Campus. With the win, Quinnipiac improves to 13-0 on the season and has earned the chance to play Appalachian State, tomorrow, April 14, in the National Quarterfinals at 11 a.m.

Women's Rugby Meets Lee University in the National Round of 16 Saturday, April 13, in Annapolis, Md.
The Quinnipiac women’s rugby team (12-0, 7-0 Tri-State) will continue its quest to play for the National Championship when the Bobcats face the Flames of Lee University (6-2) in the National Round of 16 on Saturday, April 13 at the Brigade Sports Complex in Annapolis, Md. The teams will take the pitch at 11 a.m. with the winners advancing to the National Quarterfinals on Sunday, April 14 to face either Appalachian State or Albany for the right to advance to the National Semifinals in Stanford, Calif.

Women's Rugby Blanks Temple, 44-0; Advances to the National Round of 16
The Quinnipiac University women's rugby team blanked Temple University on Saturday afternoon, as the Bobcats earned their seventh shutout of the season with a 44-0 victory at the QU Rugby Field on Mount Carmel Campus. With the win, Quinnipiac improves to 12-0 on the season and has earned a trip to the National Round of 16 in Annapolis, Md. which is set to begin next weekend.

Women's Rugby Hosts Temple on Saturday; Winner Advances to National Round of 16
Fresh off an undefeated 2012 season and the program's first Tri-State Conference Championship, the Quinnipiac women's rugby team (11-0, 7-0 Tri-State) will begin its quest for a 2013 National Championship on Saturday, April 6th at the QU Rugby Field. The Bobcats are set for a showdown against Temple University (9-2, 5-0 MARC) with the winner to advance to the Round of 16 in the 2013 Emirates Airline USA Rugby Women's Collegiate playoffs.

Hannemann, Stimson and Kosko Named to Tri-State All-Conference Team
Senior Megan Hannemann (Manchester, N.H.), sophomore Raechel Stimson (Cameron Park, Calif.) and freshman Natalie Kosko (Sebastian, Fla.) were selected to the Tri-State Rugby All-Conference Team for the 2012-13 season, announced on Tuesday, January 29, 2013.

Women’s Rugby Wins Tri-State Conference Championship With 22-14 Win Against Albany
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac University women's rugby team won the 2012 Tri-State Conference Championship with a 22-14 win against Albany. The Bobcats complete the season with a perfect 11-0 record after its landmark win at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Albany drops to 7-2-1 for the 2012-13 season.

Women's Rugby Faces Albany In Tri- State Championship, Sunday, Nov. 18 at Vassar College
The undefeated Bobcats will travel to Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. to take on the second ranked Albany Great Danes, Sunday, November 18 at Noon. The Danes placed just behind the Bobcats advanced to the final round of the Tri-State Tournament after their game over Rutgers.

Women's Rugby Defeats Marist, 30-0, In Tri-State Conference Semifinals; Will Face Albany For Championship
The Quinnipiac University women’s rugby team defeated Marist, 30-0, in a Tri-State Conference Semifinal match-up at Alumni Field in Hamden, Conn. With the win, Quinnipiac improves to 10-0 for the year. Marist drops to 5-4 for the year. Quinnipiac will face Albany, who defeated Rutgers, 29-22, in the Tri-State Conference Championship Game on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m.

Women's Rugby Hosts Marist in Tri-State Conference Semi-Final; 10 Seniors Honored
The undefeated Bobcats will host the Foxes of Marist College for the second time this year. The game marks the start of the Tri-State Playoffs where Quinnipiac will play the number four cede on the QU Rugby Field in Hamden, Conn at 1 p.m. The Foxes stand at 5-3 on the season. The Bobcats currently stand at number one in the Tri-State Conference. Sunday will also mark senior day for ten graduating seniors on the team.

The Tri-State Conference women's rugby match between the Quinnipiac University Bobcats and Rutgers University has been postponed due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. No makeup date has been officially announced, but the two teams looking to schedule the match at another location. More details to follow as they become available.

Women's Rugby Carries Forward With Ninth Straight Victory to Albany, 27-10
Freshman scrum half Devon Vieira (Kent, Wash.) lifted the Bobcats past the second ranked in the Tri-State Conference Great Danes of Albany, 27-10, Sunday, October 28. The undefeated Bobcats continue their compelling season improving to 9-0 overall and 7-0 in Tri-State matchups. The Great Danes suffered their first loss of the season setting them back to 5-1-1 overall in conference play.

Women's Rugby Heads to Albany for Last Road Trip of the Season
The undefeated Bobcats will travel for one last time this year to Albany, N.Y., where Quinnipiac will take on University at Albany Great Danes. The Bobcats stand at number one in the Tri-State Conference and look to improve on their 8-0 season. Albany is currently sitting behind the Bobcats ranking in at number two in the conference, 5-0-1, and still have yet to mark a loss on the season.

Women’s Rugby Holds Off West Chester 32-12; Bobcats Remain Undefeated
Freshman Natalie Kosko (Sebastian, Fla.) propelled the Bobcats to their eighth straight victory this season providing three tries for the Bobcats adding to her 11 tries for her freshman campaign. Quinnipiac trumped fellow NCAA opponent West Chester 32-12 in Saturday’s match up against the Golden Rams. With the victory, Quinnipiac remains undefeated as they improve to 8-0 and 6-0 in Tri-State Conference play while West Chester suffers their first loss of the year dropping to 2-1-1.

The undefeated Bobcats host West Chester University on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. The Bobcats currently stand at number one in the Tri-State Conference and look to improve on their 7-0 start. West Chester is a non-conference match up but still boasts a winning season standing at 2-0-1 on the year.

11 Different Bobcats Score; Women's Rugby Trounces Hofstra, 130-0
The Quinnipiac women's rugby team put on an incredible offensive display on Sunday, scoring a program-record 130 points in the shutout victory over Hofstra, 130-0, at the QU Rugby Field. Senior open-side flanker Meghan Hannemann (Manchester, N.H.) and freshman wing Natalie Kosko (Cheshire, Conn.) each tallied a career-high four tries in an absolute blitz that featured 11 different scorers for the Bobcats. Quinnipiac extends their unbeaten streak as they move to 7-0 overall and 6-0 in the Tri-State Conference while the Pride move to 0-5 on the season and 0-5 in Tri-State play.

The undefeated Bobcats host Hofstra University on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. The Bobcats currently stand at number one in the Tri-State Conference and look to improve on their 6-0 start. Hofstra is ranked ninth in the Tri-State Conference and are still looking for their first ‘W’ of the season.

Women's Rugby Upends Stony Brook 66-0
Senior Nancy Dunn (Moscow, Pa.) carried the Bobcats with three tries to lead Quinnipiac over the Seawolves of Stony Brook on Sunday, Oct.7 at the Stony Brook Campus Recreation Field. The outside center added three tries and two assists for Quinnipiac to lead them to a 66-0 win on the dreary afternoon. With the victory, Quinnipiac remains undefeated as they improve to 6-0 and 5-0 in Tri-State Conference play while Stony Brook drops to 1-4 on the year.

Women's Rugby Defeats Marist 52-0, Continues 5-0 Unbeaten Streak This Season
Sophomore Raechel Stimson (Cameron Park, Calif.) helped lead the Quinnipiac women's rugby team to a 52-0 victory over Marist at the QU Rugby Field. Stimson carried the team with three tries and added 15 points to the Quinnipiac score. Quinnipiac remains unscathed on the year as it improves to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the Tri-State Conference, while Marist drops to 2-2 on the year. Through five games, Quinnipiac has outscored its opponent, 298-19, as they continue their best start in program history.

The Bobcats welcome the Marist Foxes this Sunday, Sept. 30, to the Mount Carmel Campus. Quinnipiac will play on the QU Rugby Field at 1p.m. The Bobcats are coming off back to back victories against SUNY New Paltz on Sept. 16, 94-0 and Vassar College on Sept. 23, 36-12. The Bobcats tallied their largest margin of victory in program history against SUNY New Paltz and were tested last week against the Brewers. The Bobcats currently stand at number one in the Tri-State Conference and look to improve on their 4-0 start.

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. – Sophomore Elisa Cuellar (Palm Bay, Fla.) continued to lead points the Quinnipiac women's rugby team at Vassar. The outside center added two tries and an assist for Quinnipiac to lead them to a 36-12 win against the Brewers at Vassar Farm in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. With the victory, Quinnipiac remains undefeated as it improves to 4-0 and 3-0 in Tri-State Conference play while Vassar drops to 1-1-1 on the year.

The Bobcats are back on the road to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. to meet with the Brewers of Vassar College. Women's Rugby Defeats Eastern Illinois In Season-Opener, 2-1
The Quinnipiac University women's rugby team opened their 2012 season with a win on the road at Eastern Illinois on Saturday afternoon. The teams played a best-of-three Rugby Sevens match-up, where the Bobcats defeated the Panthers, 2-1 (5-7, 15-0, 5-0), shutting out Eastern Illinois in both of their victories. Senior flanker Nancy Dunn guided QU to the victory with the game-winning try in the best-of-three series. The Bobcats are off to a 1-0 start for the first time in program history, while the Panthers fall to 0-1 on the young season.
