Natalie Kosko Named Rugby Mag 2013 Women’s U20 Player of the Year
Quinnipiac University sophomore Natalie Kosko (Sebastian, Fla.) was recently named Rugby Mag’s 2013 Women’s U20 Player of the Year. Rugby Mag selects a player each year for the award in five different categories for women’s rugby; U20, College, Club 15s, High School, and break out player.

Women’s Rugby Wise Receives 2013 Kevin Higgins Scholarship Award
Quinnipiac women’s rugby freshman Lindey Wise (Franklin, Wis.) was recently recognized for her accomplishments on the field after being named to the 2013 Kevin Higgins Scholarship Program. The independent scholarships are awarded all graduating high school rugby players in the United States who are continuing their rugby career while seeking education at the collegiate level. Wise was one of 10 recipients to receive the accolades this year.

No. 3 Quinnipiac Meets No.4 Navy in ACRA Quarterfinals Sunday
The Quinnipiac University women's rugby team (10-2, 4-2 Northeast) continues on in the American Collegiate Rugby Association Tournament Quarterfinals. The No. 3 Bobcats will meet the No. 4 Navy Rams (5-0, 4-0 Mason Dixon) on Sunday, Nov. 17. Kick-off is slated for 2 pm on Field One.

Quinnipiac Falls to Navy in ACRA Quarterfinals, 28-5
The No.3 Quinnipiac women’s rugby team fell to No. 4 Navy on Sunday, Nov. 17, 28-5, at the Anderson Rugby Complex in the ACRA National Tournament Quarterfinals. The loss is the Bobcats third of the season as they close out their 2013 campaign 10-3 overall and 4-2 in Northeast Conference action.

No. 3 Quinnipiac Advances to ACRA Quarterfinals with 59-15 Win over No. 10 Boston University
Sophomore Natalie Kosko (Sebastian, Fla.) led the Quinnipiac women’s rugby team to their seventh consecutive win of the 2013-14 season with 25 points and two assists for Quinipiac. The Bobcats outlasted Boston University 59-15, in the Sweet 16 round of the ACRA National tournament on Saturday, Nov. 16. The Bobcats now stand at 10-2 overall and 4-2 in the Northeast Conference.

No. 3 Quinnipiac Women’s Rugby Draws No. 10 Boston University at ACRA Sweet 16 This Saturday
The Quinnipiac University women’s rugby team (9-2, 4-2 Northeast) looks onward to the American Collegiate Rugby Association Tournament this weekend. The No. 3 Bobcats pulled No. 10 Boston University (3-4, 3-4 Northeast) in the Sweet 16 round taking place this Saturday, Nov. 16. Kick-off is slated for 3pm on field one.

Women’s Rugby Closes Out Regular Season with, 29-22, Win Over West Chester
The Quinnipiac women’s Rugby team went on to defeat the West Chester University Golden Rams on Saturday, Nov. 2, 29-22 on the South Campus Rugby Pitch. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 9-2 overall and 4-2 in Northeast Conference action. For the regular season, the Bobcats have outscored their opponents 467-157.

Women’s Rugby Heads to West Chester to Close Out 2013 Regular Season on Saturday, Nov. 2
The Quinnipiac University women’s rugby team (8-2, 4-2 Northeast) closes out their 2013 regular season on the road when they take on Mason Dixon Conference opponent the West Chester University (3-1, 2-1 Mason Dixon) this Saturday, November 2. The Bobcats will meet the Golden Rams on the South Campus Rugby Pitch in West Chester, Pa. Kick-off is slated for 11 a.m.

Women’s Rugby Defeats Northeastern on Senior Day, 98-7
It was all Quinnipiac Saturday, Oct. 26, as the Bobcats went on to defeat Northeastern University 98-7, for Senior Day. Sophomore Natalie Kosko (Sebastian, Fla.) finished the game with a career high of 30 points against the Huskies. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 8-2 overall and 4-2 in Northeast Conference action.

The Bobcats will meet the Huskies on Alumni Field on the Mount Carmel Campus. Kick-off is slated for 12 p.m.

Sophomore Natalie Kosko (Sebastian, Fla.) led Quinnipiac to their fourth straight victory of the season on Saturday with four tries as the women's rugby team defeated UConn, 49-0, at Depot Field. The Bobcats improve to 7-2 overall and 3-2 in Northeast Conference action.

The Quinnipiac University women’s rugby team (6-2, 2-2 Northeast) continues their 2013 season when they take on intrastate rival and fellow Northeast Conference opponent UConn (7-1, 6-1 Northeast) this Saturday, October 19. The Bobcats will travel to Depot Field on the UConn Storrs Campus. Opening kick-off is slated for 11 a.m.

The Quinnipiac women's rugby team defeated the UMass Amherst Minutewomen, 94-5, on Saturday, Oct. 12 for its third straight win of the season. The Bobcats are now 7-2 overall and 2-2 in the Northeast conference. The win gives Quinnipiac a 9-3-1 all-time record on the Mount Carmel campus.

The Quinnipiac University women's rugby team (5-2, 1-2 Northeast) returns to action when they face fellow Northeast Conference opponent UMass Amherst (1-2, 0-1 Northeast) on Saturday, October 12 at home. The Bobcats and the Minutewomen will take Alumni Field at 12 p.m. The Bobcats boast an 8-3-1 all-time record when playing on the Mount Carmel Campus.

Women’s Rugby Rolls Past Army, 39-27
The Quinnipiac women’s rugby team defeated the Army Black Knights 39-27, on Saturday, Oct. 5, for their third straight win of the season. The Bobcats are now 5-2 overall and 1-2 in the Northeast conference. The win today gives Quinnipiac its first win of the season at home as they improve to 8-3-1 on the Mount Carmel campus.

Tremendous Team Effort Sends Quinnipiac Women’s Rugby Past Virginia, 34-12
Sophomore scrum half Devon Vieira (Kent, Wash.) carried the Bobcats to their fourth victory of the season after posting a career-high of 20 points against the Cavaliers on Saturday. The women’s rugby team went on to defeat Virginia by a final score of 34-12 at Madison Bowl Field, improving to 4-2 on the season.

Women’s Rugby Travels South to Face Virginia on Saturday, Sept. 28
The Quinnipiac University women’s rugby team (3-2, 0-2 Northeast) looks to bounce back from their loss last weekend as they cross the Mason Dixon line to face the Cavaliers of the University of Virginia. The Bobcats will meet Virginia on Madison Bowl Field in Charlottesville, Va. Kick-off is slated for 11 a.m. Quinnipiac is 3-1 on the road against their opponents thus far.

USA Rugby Recognizes Stimson, Kosko and Hannemann
Junior Raechel Stimson and sophomore Natalie Kosko were selected to the USA Rugby Women’s Collegiate All-American First Team for the 2012-13 season, announced on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 by USA Rugby. Graduate Meghan Hannemann also was selected to the USA Rugby Second Team.

Women’s Rugby Falls to AIC in Home-Opener, 36-12
The Quinnipiac University women’s rugby team had its seven-game home unbeaten streak snapped on Saturday afternoon, as the Bobcats fell short to American International College, 36-12, in Northeast Rugby Conference action at Alumni Rugby Field on Mount Carmel Campus. Sophomore Natalie Kosko (Sebastian, Fla.) led the Bobcats with two tries in the losing effort.

It was all Quinnipiac University in Tuesday night's NCAA rugby match as the Bobcats handed Harvard University a 41-10 loss in the Crimson's very first varsity competition. Sophomore Natalie Kosko (Sebastian, Fla.) collected three tries and Maggie Myles (Emmitsburg, Md.) added two, leading Quinnipiac to its fourth win of the season at Harvard Stadium in Cambridge, Mass.

The Quinnipiac University women’s rugby team lost to Norwich, 41-5, in a Northeast Rugby Conference match-up at NU Dog River Rugby Pitch in Northfield, Vt. The loss is the Bobcats’ first of the year as they drop to 2-1 through their first three games while Norwich remains undefeated at 3-0.

The Quinnipiac women’s rugby team (1-0, 0-0 Northeast) returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. MST. The Bobcats head out west to the United States Air Force Academy for a non-conference showdown in Colorado Springs, Colo. Quinnipiac is in search of its 17th win in its last 18 games.

The Quinnipiac women’s rugby team defeated fellow NCAA Division I rival Eastern Illinois, 65-7, at Lakeside Rugby Field on a hot Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats, now 1-0 on the season, were led by sophomore Natalie Kosko (Sebastian, Fla.) who matched her career high of four tries in the game.

Women’s Rugby Opens 2013 Season Against Eastern Illinois Saturday
The Quinnipiac women’s rugby team (0-0, 0-0 Northeast) will open their season on Saturday, August 31 at 1 PM. The Bobcats will face the Panthers of Eastern Illinois in Charleston, Illinois at the Lakeside Rugby Field. This will be the third consecutive time the two teams open their season with one another since 2011-12.

Quinnipiac University women’s rugby head coach Becky Carlson announced the team’s 2013 season schedule on Thursday with the Bobcats looking for a second straight conference championship and a trip back to the USA Rugby National Championships. Quinnipiac claimed third place in the tournament last year, compiling a 15-1 record by the end of the season.

Melissa Condo Participates in Quinnipiac’s Presidential Public Service Fellowship Program
Over the summer months, Quinnipiac University women’s rugby senior Melissa Condo (Hull, Mass.) participated in Quinnipiac’s Presidential Public Service Fellowship program, where she was one of 12 Bobcats to gain valuable hands-on experience in local government. The university awarded the fellowship to juniors and seniors to help them gain a clear understanding of how town governments operate.

Team USA Finishes Second in U20 Nation’s Cup Finals - Follow Members of Quinnipiac Women's Rugby
Quinnipiac University women's rugby sophomore Natalie Kosko (Sebastian, Fla.) and incoming freshman Maggie Myles (Emmitsburg, Md.) are competing for USA in the U20 Nation's Cup in Nottingham, England. Kosko and Myles were selected by the USA Rugby AIG Women's Junior All-Americans and started training with the squad last month.

Seven Sign NLI’s to Quinnipiac Women’s Rugby Team
Quinnipiac women's rugby head coach Becky Carlson has announced the addition of seven student athletes to the Bobcats' 2013-14 roster. Christie Albers (Castle Rock, Colo.), Madison Gegeckas (Downingtown, Pa.), Maggie Myles (Emmitsburg, Md.), Tayler Schussler (Westminster, Md.), Lindey Wise (Franklin, Wis.), Rachel Wrinn (Southington, Conn.) and Hailey Wyatt (Firestone, Colo.) have all signed National Letters of Intent and will look to make an immediate impact for the Bobcats in the program’s third year of competition.
