West Point- N.Y. – Sophomore Natalie Kosko (Sebastian, Fla.) led the Quinnipiac women's rugby team to their seventh consecutive win of the 2013-14 season with 25 points and two assists for Quinnipiac. The Bobcats outlasted Boston University, 59-15, in the Sweet 16 round of the ACRA National tournament on Saturday, Nov. 16.  The Bobcats now stand at 10-2 overall and 4-2 in the Northeast Conference.

"Our off loading just clicked today," said head coach Becky Carlson. "We had our moments where we had to fight but they worked through them together. Our offense was a solid effort from both the backs and the forwards and if one person played like a superhero today, it was Elisa Cuellar. We are extremely proud of our Bobcats today."

Six other Bobcats joined Kosko in the scoring category for Quinnipiac.  Senior Allison Gnys (Cumberland, R.I.) was next in line to lead Quinnipiac in scoring.  Gnys collected 10 points off of conversions and penalty kicks for the Bobcats. Senior Nancy Dunn (Moscow, Pa.), juniors Jennifer Salomon (Garnerville, N.Y.) and Shannon Durkin (Oakland, Calif.) and freshmen Rachel Wrinn (Southington, Conn) and Hailey Wyatt (Breckenridge, Colo.) also recorded one try in the winning effort.

Senior Elena Orlando (Winters, Calif.) finished the afternoon with five assists all coming off of Kosko's tries.  And junior Elisa Cuellar (Palm Bay, Fla.) and freshman Wrinn also tallied an assist against the Boston Terriers.

The Bobcats wasted little time getting on the boards.  Sophomore Kosko opened the scoring category posting the first points for the Bobcats off of a pass from Orlando.  Boston University would then gain possession off of a scrum to march into Quinnipiac's territory for their first points of the game by Paige Stathopoulos to make the score even at 5-5.  Quinnipiac would go on to score two more times before Boston University could get back on the boards.  Junior Durkin would continue to finagle through the Terriers defense for Quinnipiac's fourth try of the game to put them 24-10 over Boston University.  As the first half came to an end, Kosko would find another opportunity for a 50 – yard run to put the Bobcats up 29-10 at the half.

Quinnipiac's second half was once again on point for the Bobcats as they opened with four different scorers.  Freshmen Wrinn and Wyatt collected passes from Kosko to give Quinnipiac the 39-10 advantage. Quinnipiac would go on to score three more times before Boston University would be able to stop the Bobcats.  The Boston Terriers, senior Dee Nash would collect their final try of the game, 56-15.  To close out the game Gnys would finish with two successful penalty kicks resulting in Quinnipiac's 59-15 victory.

Next, the Bobcats will take on No.4 Navy in the Quarterfinals of the ACRA National Tournament tomorrow afternoon.  Kick- off is slated for 2 pm at the Anderson Rugby Complex on the Army West Point Campus.  The winner of this game will advance onto the National Championship taking place at Lake Myrtle Park in Auburndale, Fla. on Dec 7th and 8th
