HAMDEN, Conn. - 114 high school girl's soccer players attended the Quinnipiac University Women's Soccer Elite Girls Clinic, Friday afternoon. The clinic, open to any high school player interested in attending Quinnipiac, offered a tour of the school, a presentation by the admissions department, a question and answer session with the Quinnipiac coaching staff, as well as a training session and game.
"Hopefully, the girls got an idea of the philosophy of Quinnipiac women's soccer and insight into how we train," said Head Coach Dave Clarke. "Hopefully they got a feel for the school and whether it's a good academic fit for them. The hope is that some of the players will apply to Quinnipiac for 2009 and 2010."
