The Quinnipiac University women’s soccer team (2-11-1, 1-5-1 MAAC) is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 22 when the Bobcats head to Manhattan College (6-7-2, 1-4-2 MAAC). Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Gaelic Park in the Bronx.

The Bobcats travel to West Long Branch, N.J. to take on top-ranked Monmouth for a 7 p.m. start time at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn.

Nicole Eriksen Propels QU Women’s Soccer to Double Overtime 2-1 Win over Marist
Every team encounters the unbearable lows and scintillating highs throughout a season. Both came within 15 minutes of each other for the Quinnipiac University women’s soccer team on Wednesday afternoon. After surrendering the equalizer with just 3.9 seconds remaining in regulation, Quinnipiac persevered through the late anguish and found the game-winning goal in double overtime to defeat Marist College, 2-1, from the QU Soccer Field in Hamden. Nicole Eriksen (Stamford, Conn.) was the game’s hero, heading home her first career goal in the victory.

The Quinnipiac University women’s soccer team (1-6-1, 0-1-1 MAAC) hosts intrastate rival Fairfield University (7-2-1, 1-0-0 MAAC) on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at the QU Soccer Field. Last year, the two Connecticut based schools played to a 0-0 draw through double overtime on Fairfield’s campus.

This Saturday, October 4, 2014, the Quinnipiac University women’s soccer team will host their Coaches vs. Cancer game in conjunction with the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer. The Bobcats are scheduled to face Canisius College at 1 p.m., with all proceeds from the contest to be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Sophomore Jessica Fontaine’s (Enfield, Conn.) fourth career goal in the 66th minute proved to be the difference in the victory.

The Bobcats suffered a third straight 1-0 defeat on Sunday afternoon, as the Bobcats dropped a non-conference match to UC Davis in overtime at Aggies Soccer Field. The game was the third straight road match for Quinnipiac while concluding the team’s two-game road trip to California.

For the second straight week, the Quinnipiac University women’s soccer team suffered a heartbreaking loss, this time at the hands of a talented Pacific team with 2:45 seconds remaining. The lone goal held up and the Quinnipiac began its two-game California road trip with a 1-0 loss from Knoles Field in Stockton.

The first game of the season for both teams marks the third game in the all-time series, with all the action coming live at 4 p.m. from Alumni Field in Orono, Maine.

The Bobcats return 19 student-athletes from last year’s squad, each with the same goal in mind of winning the 2014 MAAC Championship.
