Nicole Adams Earns NEC Scholar-Athlete Award
Quinnipiac University senior women's tennis player Nicole Adams (New Windsor, N.Y.) has been named the Northeast Conference Scholar-Athlete Award winner in women's tennis for the second consecutive year. Additionally, 70 Quinnipiac student-athletes have been named to the NEC Spring Academic Honor Roll.

Five Women's Tennis Players Named All-NEC
Four Quinnipiac University women's tennis players have been named All-Northeast Conference, the league office today announced. Freshman Natalie Duckor (North Tustin, Calif.) headlines the group, being named the NEC Rookie of the Year while earning first-team recognition at the No. 3 singles flight. Mary Wilson (Greensburg, Pa.), Adrienne Markison (Princeton, N.J.), Kasey Rosenberger (Pittsford, N.Y.) and Nicole Adams (New Windsor, N.Y.) round out the Bobcats' all-league honorees.

Women's Tennis Falls In NEC Championship
The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team's five-year run as Northeast Conference Champions ended Sunday morning as the Bobcats fell to second-seeded Long Island, 4-1, in the NEC Championship Match at Mercer County Tennis Center. With the loss, the Bobcats end the season at 9-11, while the Blackbirds (10-7) advance the NCAA Tournament. The Bobcats and Blackbirds met in the championship match for the sixth consecutive year.

With the win, the Bobcats (8-10) advance to play No. 4 Sacred Heart in Saturday morning's semifinals.

Adrienne Markison (Princeton, N.J) and Kasey Rosenberger (Pittsford, N.Y.) were double winners as the Quinnipiac University women's tennis team defeated No. 4 Sacred Heart, 4-1, Saturday morning in NEC Tournament semifinal action at Mercer County Park. With the win, the Bobcats (9-10) advance to meet No. 2 Long Island for the sixth consecutive year in Sunday morning's championship match.

The five-time defending Northeast Conference Champion Quinnipiac University women's tennis team begins its challenge for a sixth straight title as the top seed, Friday afternoon, at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, N.J. First on the docket is the winner between No. 8 Robert Morris and No. 9 Wagner in the quarterfinals. The match is scheduled to begin after 4:30 p.m.

The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team split a pair of matches Saturday, falling to Army, 6-1, before beating Marist, 7-0. Both matches were played at Army. With the split, the Bobcats move to 4-5 for the season. Natalie Duckor (Tustin, Calif.) led the Bobcats with a pair of singles wins at No. 3.

The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team came from behind to defeat Colgate, 4-3, Friday evening at Army. After dropping the doubles point and two of the first three singles decisions, the Bobcats rallied back with wins from Kasey Rosenberger (Pittsford, N.Y.), Nicole Adams (New Windsor, N.Y.) and Adrienne Markison (Princeton, N.J.) to take the victory. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 3-4, while the Raiders fall to 5-4.

The five-time defending Northeast Conference champion Quinnipiac University women's tennis team has been selected by the league's coaches to win a sixth straight title, the conference office today announced. The Bobcats took six first-place votes, while Long Island and Fairleigh Dickinson received two first-place votes each. The Blackbirds took the second spot in the poll while the Knights were selected third.

Women's Tennis Lands Two Four-Star Recruits
Quinnipiac University Men's and Women's Tennis Head Coach Michael Quitko has announced the signing of two female student-athletes during the early signing period. Rachel Cantor (Short Hills, N.J.) and Sarah Viebrock (Carmel, N.Y.) will join the Bobcats for the 2009-10 academic year. Both Cantor and Viebrock are rated four-star recruits by tennisrecruiting.net.

The reigning NEC Player of the Year defeated Villanova's Courtney Reed to advance to the Round of 64 at the ITA East Regional Championships, played this past weekend at the University of Pennsylvania.

LEWISBURG, Pa. ? Quinnipiac women's tennis freshman Natalie Duckor (North Tustin, Calif.) and junior Shawna Sarson (Albany, N.Y.) each earned championships at the Bucknell Invitational this weekend. Sarson went undefeated against players from Bucknell, Colgate and UConn. Duckor, who posted a 2-1 record against players from the same teams, took the title by virtue of a victory against Bucknell's Lauren Lucido, who also won twice.

Freshmen Natalie Duckor (North Tustin, Calif.) and Carly Loewenstein (Armonk, N.Y.) won the consolation brackets of the 1st and 4th singles brackets, respectively, at the Eastern Collegiates, Saturday. Duckor defeated players from Seton Hall, Fairleigh Dickinson and Niagara to take her title, while Loewenstein earned wins against players representing Long Island, Pittsburgh and Massachusetts.

Freshman Natalie Duckor (North Tustin, Calif.) paired with junior Shawna Sarson (Albany, N.Y.) to win twice in Quinnipiac Invitational Flight 'B' doubles action, Friday at the Quinnipiac Outdoor Tennis Courts. The wins were the first of Duckor's career.
