Duckor, Wilson Advance To Quinnipiac Invitational Semifinals

HAMDEN, Conn. – Freshman Natalie Duckor (North Tustin, Calif.) and junior Mary Wilson (Greensburg, Pa.) won two singles matches each Saturday to advance to semifinal action in the Quinnipiac Invitational. Nicole Adams (New Windsor, N.Y.), Adrienne Markison (Princeton, N.J.), Kasey Rosenberger (Pittsford, N.Y.) and Lisanne Steinert (Glauchau, Germany) also earned one win apiece for the Bobcats.

Wilson advances to the Flight "A" semifinals after defeating Bryant's Emma Czarnecki, 4-6, 6-4, 10-3, in the first round, and Fairfield's Dana Postupack, 6-1, 6-2, in the second. Duckor's route to the Flight "B" semifinals included wins against Fairfield's Kristen Liu (6-3, 6-3) and Maryland-Baltimore County's Joy Adewumi (6-4, 6-2).

Wilson will face Rhode Island's Pam Emery in the Flight "A" semifinals, when play resumes Sunday morning. Another Ram stands in Duckor's path, as the freshman takes on Tristany Leikem.
