Cantor's NCAA Banter: Day 3

Every day during the Quinnipiac women's tennis team's trip to the NCAA Tournament in Los Angeles, Calif., sophomore Rachel Cantor will keep you up to date on the team's activities. Day Three: THE BIG DAY: QU vs. #6 UCLA. Today, WE BEAT UCLA...just kidding!!! Well, after a great night's rest we all had a great breakfast this morning at around 8:30. I had an egg white omelet with a side of delicious fresh fruit and a nice cup of coffee. We had to be in the lobby by 9:30 a.m. so that we could be at the courts to practice by 10. It was one of the more silent bus rides we've had, while the girls were listening to their music, getting pumped up for the match. We got to the practice courts at around 9:50. We did our usual running and dynamic stretching before we got to hit. After we were done running and stretching, we hit from 10:15 to 11:15.

Every day during the Quinnipiac women's tennis team's trip to the NCAA Tournament in Los Angeles, Calif., sophomore Rachel Cantor will keep you up to date on the team's activities. Well, we may a big deal in Hamden, but certainly not in Hollywood. After catching up on some very much-needed sleep, we got up at around 9 so we could eat breakfast and get our bags ready for our big day ahead of us. Report time was at 10 a.m. We loaded the bus and off to Hollywood we went! It's never too early for some tunes. Well, Sarah Viebrock graced us with her beautiful voice once again, and by beautiful, I mean AWFUL! She still had Miley Cyrus' "Party In The USA" stuck in her head. As the bus ride went on, everyone was in awe of the Hollywood lifestyle. Rodeo Drive was absolutely unbelievable! Stores like Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Gucci, Dolce and Gabana and Prada filled the street! I went shopping at this really cute store in Hollywood called Planet Blue, where I bought a great summer dress! P.S. Thanks Mom and Dad for the dress! Wasn't going to tell you until the credit card bill came, but thanks for that! Adrienne came in the store with me and she got such a cute dress as well!

Cantor's NCAA Banter: Day 1

Every day during the Quinnipiac women's tennis team's trip to the NCAA Tournament in Los Angeles, Calif., sophomore Rachel Cantor will keep you up to date on the team's activities. Words for the wise: If you happen to have a 7 a.m flight, don't try an all-nighter. We did and it was absolutely miserable. Report time was 2:45 a.m. outside the Rec Center, where our bus awaited. Everyone came straggling along from all different directions. I went to pick up my doubles partner, Adrienne, from her house at around 2:20 a.m. We got to JFK at around 4:30 a.m. and our flight was at 7 a.m. After a long security process and an awful airport breakfast, we finally boarded the plane and before you knew it, six hours later we arrived at LAX. Sarah Viebrock started to sing Miley Cyrus' "Party In the USA". We got off the plane, walked down to baggage claim where it couldn't have gone any smoother. Luckily, no bags got lost. The bus picked us up and we were off to Venice Beach!!!
