Boston University Defeats Women's Tennis, 7-0

BOSTON - The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team fell in its spring semester opener at Boston University, 7-0, Saturday afternoon at the Track and Tennis Center. With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 0-2 on the 2010-11 season.

The Terriers took the doubles point with wins in all three flights, and followed with wins in each of the six singles flights. Sarah Viebrock (Carmel, N.Y.) posted the strongest singles score for the Bobcats, falling 6-1, 6-3, to Petra Santini at No. 4. Lisanne Steinert (Glauchau, Germany) and Lavinia Cristescu (West Hartford, Conn.) registered the strongest doubles score, falling 8-4 to Monika Mical and Vanessa Steiner at No. 3.

The Bobcats return to action Saturday, Feb. 19, when they play host to Fordham. First serve is slated for 2 p.m.
