WEST POINT, N.Y. - Matches at the Eastern Championships concluded on Sunday afternoon, as Quinnipiac women's tennis capped off the three-day tournament at West Point. Despite inclement weather throughout the weekend, the 20-team championship came to an end with several fine showings from the Bobcats' team.

The A Doubles final featured freshmen Michelle Dassa (Marlboro, N.J.) and Jacqueline Raynor (Garden City, N.Y.) against Fordham's Sarah Ali and Bella Genkina. The Rams came out on top, as Ali and Genkina defeated Dassa and Raynor by the final of 8-2.

In the consolation Flight B Doubles bracket, junior Morgan Crystal (Ridgefield, Conn.) and freshman Morgan Massey (Branford, Conn.) were defeated by Alyssa Gleason and Maya Parker of Army, 8-0.

Sunday also featured a number of "pickup" matches, allowing players to take advantage of the open courts.

The women's tennis team is back in action on Tuesday, October 18th with a home match against the University of Connecticut. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
