WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team fell in a non-conference road match at Army, 7-0, Saturday morning at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. With the loss, the Bobcats descend to 2-3 on the 2011-12 season.
The Black Knights took the doubles point with wins in all three flights, and followed with wins in each of the six singles flights. Rachel Cantor (Short Hills, N.J.) posted the strongest singles score for the Bobcats, falling 6-4, 7-6 (8-6), to Jamila Paul at No. 1. Sarah Viebrock (Carmel, N.Y.) and Lavinia Cristescu (West Hartford, Conn.) registered the strongest doubles score, falling 8-7 (7-1) to Margaret Iliev and Carly Riney at No. 3.
