Women’s Tennis Adds Pair to 2013-14 Roster
Sophia Dzulynsky (Miramar, Fla.) and Kelsi Oliphant (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) have each signed a national letter of intent to play for the Quinnipiac University women’s tennis team as announced by veteran head coach Mike Quitko. They will join the Bobcat roster this fall and look to make an immediate impact in the program’s inaugural season within the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).

Five Bobcats Garner NEC Women’s Tennis All-Conference Laurels
Headlined by Jacqueline Raynor (Garden City, N.Y.) and Sarah Viebrock (Carmel, N.Y.), five members of the Quinnipiac University women’s tennis team earned All-Conference honors as announced by the league office on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Raynor was named First Team Singles and Doubles, while Viebrock earned a trip to First Team Singles for the third straight year.

Women’s Tennis Suffers Heartbreaking Loss in NEC Championship; Bobcats Fall to Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-3
The 2013 Northeast Conference Women’s Tennis Championship came down to the wire on Sunday afternoon, but it was the reigning NEC champion Fairleigh Dickinson Knights who prevailed in one of the closest matches in tournament history. The Bobcats fought back from an early deficit but came up one point shy in a 4-3 loss at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J.

Women’s Tennis Advances to NEC Championship with 4-2 win over LIU Brooklyn
The Quinnipiac University women’s tennis team earned a spot in the Northeast Conference Championship match, as the Bobcats defeated LIU Brooklyn, 4-2, Saturday morning at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J. For the third year in a row, Quinnipiac will meet Fairleigh Dickinson in the finals which will take place tomorrow, Sunday, April 21 at 10 a.m.

The Quinnipiac University women’s tennis team continued its dominance in the Northeast Conference Tournament on Friday morning, as the Bobcats defeated Mount St. Mary’s, 4-0, to advance to the semifinals of the single-elimination playoff. With the win, Quinnipiac has progressed into the last four for the 15th straight year.

The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team is in search of its seventh NEC Tournament Championship this weekend, as the Bobcats open play on Friday, April 19 in West Windsor, N.J. The Bobcats earned the second seed of the 11-team field and will take on either #7 Mount St. Mary's or #10 Wagner College in the quarterfinals at the Mercer County Tennis Center.

Senior Rachel Cantor (Short Hills, N.J.) of the Quinnipiac University women’s tennis team was recently named the Northeast Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, announced on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Cantor was perfect on the week, recording a 6-0 mark en route to a 2-1 weekly record for the Bobcats.

Women’s Tennis Celebrates Senior Day with 5-2 Win over Hofstra
The Quinnipiac women’s tennis team honored its senior class in the best way possible on Sunday afternoon, as the Bobcats defeated Hofstra University, 5-2, on Senior and Alumni Day at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts on Mount Carmel Campus. The women’s tennis team honored Rachel Cantor (Short Hills, N.J.), Sarah Viebrock (Carmel, N.Y.), Erin Suvar (North Massapequa, N.Y.), Morgan Crystal (Ridgefield, Conn.) and Carly Loewenstein (Armonk, N.Y.) for their hard work and dedication to the program.

Quinnipiac University men’s and women’s tennis head coach Mike Quitko reached a significant personal milestone on Saturday afternoon as the Bobcats swept Saint Francis University to seal his 500th career win. Both the men’s and the women’s teams’ each won with 4-0 decisions en route to the historic win for Coach Quitko.

The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team went toe-to-toe with Providence College on Tuesday evening in a match that featured two third-set tie-breaks to determine the winner. After five hours of competitive, back-and-forth tennis, the Friars prevailed with a 4-3 victory at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts on Mount Carmel Campus.

The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team claimed the doubles point for the seventh straight match on Sunday afternoon, but it was the Temple Owls who battled back to win five points in singles and prevail with a 5-2 victory at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts.

Women's Tennis Defeats NEC Foe Sacred Heart, 6-1
The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team improved to 3-1 in Northeast Conference play with a convincing 6-1 victory over Sacred Heart on Friday afternoon at the Pioneer Tennis Courts in Fairfield, Conn. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 8-6 overall, picking up career win No. 497 for head coach Mike Quitko - leaving him just three shy of 500 for his career.

Women’s Tennis Edged by Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-3
In a match that featured a rematch of the 2012 Northeast Conference Championship, it was the Knights of Fairleigh Dickinson who came out on top with a 4-3 victory over the Bobcats at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts Saturday afternoon. With the loss, Quinnipiac snapped its unbeaten streak of two straight and fell to 7-6 overall on the season.

Women’s Tennis Cruises Past Fairfield, 6-1
Senior Sarah Viebrock (Carmel, N.Y.) upped her career win total to 130 on Thursday afternoon, as the Quinnipiac University women’s tennis team earned its second straight win with a 6-1 decision over Fairfield at the Fairfield Tennis Courts. Viebrock won twice on the day and moved into a two-way tie with Mary Wilson ’10 for eighth place on the all-time wins list at Quinnipiac.

The Quinnipiac University women’s tennis team remained perfect in conference play on Sunday afternoon, as the Bobcats defeated NEC foe Bryant University, 7-0, at the Bryant Tennis Complex in Smithfield, R.I. Quinnipiac, who climbed back over the .500 mark (6-5) with the triumph, also snatched career win No. 494 for head coach Mike Quitko.

Women's Tennis Sweeps Savannah St., 7-0; Carly Loewenstein and Sarah Viebrock Each Land Milestone Victories
The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team picked up a 7-0 sweep of host Savannah St. on Thursday afternoon from the Florida-Star Island. The Bobcat squad reached a pair of milestones against the Tigers as graduate student Carly Loewenstein (Armonk, N.Y.) scored her 10th career win in her first match of the season at the No. 5 singles slot while senior Sarah Viebrock (Carmel, N.Y.) picked up two victories to become just the 13th player in program history to reach 125 career victories on Thursday. With the win, the Bobcats jump back over the .500 mark at 5-4 on the season while Savannah St. falls to 2-11.

Women's Tennis Concludes Spring Break Trip with 4-3 Loss to Fordham University
The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team nearly upended an Atlantic-10 opponent on Thursday night, but instead suffered a heartbreaking one-point loss, 4-3, to Fordham University at the Florida-Star Island Tennis Courts in Orlando, Fla. The final match of the night came down to a third set tie-break, which went in favor of Fordham, 11-9, for the final point and the victory.

Sophomore Michelle Dassa (Marlboro, N.J.) of the Quinnipiac University women's tennis team has been named February's Northeast Conference Player of the Month, announced on Wednesday, March 7, 2013 by the league office. Dassa's play has sparked the Bobcats early on, lifting Quinnipiac to a 4-2 record through the month of February into March.

Quinnipiac University women’s tennis head coach Mike Quitko has announced that seniors Rachel Cantor (Short Hills, N.J.) and Sarah Viebrock (Carmel, N.Y.) will serve as the team captains for the 2013 campaign. Since their freshman year back in 2009, the senior duo has combined for 222 career wins and a 34-13 record when playing together in doubles.

With the victory, Chupa and Launie improved to 5-0 in the 2012 fall season.

Fellow Quinnipiac alumni, parents, faculty and student-athletes were in attendance for “Quinnipiac Night” in celebration of Coach Q’s career accomplishments.
