Paula Miller enters her second season as the Director of Tennis and Women's Tennis Head Coach after a successful season in which Quinnipiac women's tennis reached their eighth NCAA Tournament Appearance in the Division I era after winning the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship title.
In addition to the MAAC Championship in her first season at the helm of the program, Miller was named the MAAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year after guiding the Bobcats to their second consecutive undefeated season in the MAAC. Since joining the MAAC prior to the 2013-14 season, Quinnipiac is 20-0, including four postseason victories.
The Bobcats swept Marist and Niagara on their way to the MAAC Championship, where they earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament where they faced the No. 2 seed North Carolina Tar Heels in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Quinnipiac has now won a total of eight conference championship titles and advanced to eight NCAA Tournaments, including winning three of the last five conference championship matches the Bobcats have appeared in since the 2010-11 season when they were a member of the Northeast Conference.
Miller took over as the Director of Tennis and Women's Tennis Head Coach in 2014-15 after 17 seasons as a member of the coaching staff of the Quinnipiac tennis program, previously serving for two seasons as Men's and Women's Tennis Associate Head Coach and 15 seasons as the Women's Tennis Assistant Coach. Miller has been instrumental in the Bobcats success at the Division I level, helping the women's tennis team to six NEC tournament titles. On the other side, Miller has been apart of four men's NEC tennis championships as well.
During her stint with the Bobcats, Miller has helped over 100 student-athletes to the All-NEC Conference Teams, including three Player of the Year and six Rookie of the Year recipients. She was recognized for contributions when the Intercollegiate Tennis Association named her the 2008 East Region Assistant Coach of the Year.
Miller - then Paula Rembac - was Coach Quitko’s first recruit in 1992. She had a stellar career at Quinnipiac leading the Bobcats to three Northeast-10 Championships. Miller still ranks in the top 25 on the all-time wins list at Quinnipiac with 83 career victories. On October 10, 2010, the 1993 Quinnipiac Women's tennis team, which she was a member of, was inducted into the Quinnipiac Athletics Hall of Fame.
Miller is also a U.S.P.T.A. Certified Tennis Professional.
Miller received her degree from Quinnipiac in 1996 in Health Administration. She currently serves the Quinnipiac Greater New Haven Alumni Chapter President, the Quinnipiac's National Board of Governors, and is a business analyst at Value Options in Rocky Hill, Conn.
Miller and her husband Greg, married in September, 2004, live in North Haven.
