Women's Indoor Runs At Yale For Second Time This Season
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's indoor track ran in its second meet of the season Saturday at Yale's Coxe Cage. The Bobcats have run both meet's at Yale's facility, competing in Saturday's Collegiate Invitational. Freshman Becca White (Natick, Mass.) was the Bobcats' best runner at the meet, placing third in her heat and fifth overall in the 3000 meter race in 10:11.87.
"We still have a lot of work to do," said Head Coach Carolyn Martin. "It's a good start for this team, but we need to stress continuing to work hard.
Sophomore Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) highlighted the Quinnipiac's DMR team. The Bobcats finished fourth in a time of 12:50.94. Julie Lanning (Victor, N.Y.) placed second in her heat in the one mile, crossing the line in 5:26.27. That time was good for 10th overall.
Quinnipiac will next run on Friday, Jan. 15 at the University of Rhode Island. The running events are scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
