HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women’s indoor track junior Rebecca White (Natick, Mass.) received her second Northeast Conference Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week title of the 2011-12 season, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday evening.

White garners the weekly accolade after winning the 3,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 9:51.96 at the Yale Intercollegiate Classic on Saturday, Jan. 14. White’s time also stands well below the qualifying standard for the ECAC Championships.

The Natick, Mass. native also earned NEC Track Athlete of the Week honors in her season-debut on Dec. 13 after placing first in the one mile at the Fordham Christmas Classic.

The Bobcats return to action when they compete at the University of Rhode Island Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Mackal Field Fieldhouse in Kingston, R.I.
