Women's Outdoor Track Competes In Final Day Of Richmond's Fred Hardy Invitational
Richmond, Va. - The Quinnipiac University women's outdoor track
team competed in the final day of the University of Richmond's
fifth annual Fred Hardy Invitational on Saturday, March 26.
"Overall, the ladies left Richmond with a very positive outlook
for the season," said Quinnipiac head coach Carolyn
Martin. "Several Bobcats ran great times, especially coming
back from injuries or sickness from the indoor season, so it was
great to have the entire team running well together again."
Sophomore Becca
White (Natick, Mass.) finished a competitive 3k race in seventh
place, with a time of 10:06.88. Martha
Santandreu (Hamburg, N.Y.) ran a personal-best time of 10:43.19
in the 3,000-meter race, as well.
Quinnipiac's Hannah
Donadio (Killingworth, Conn.) ran the 800-meter run in 2:23.63,
while Donadio, Rachel
Morelli (Philadelphia, Pa.), Morgan
Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) and Alexandra
Seitz (Annandale, N.J.) represented the Bobcats in the 4x800
relay, finishing in 10:00.08. In addition, Grace
Harvey (Clinton, N.J.) competed in the long jump, posting 4.20
meters.
Yesterday, the Bobcats competed in the 5,000-meter run and in the
1,500 meters. The team was led by Roche who finished as
Quinnipiac's top runner and in third place overall in 17:47.54. Kristen
Stevens (Succasunna, N.J.) followed in fourth place with a time
of 17:49:38, while Paige
Pallotto (Westbrook, Conn.) ran a personal-best time of
18:19.86, good for a sixth place finish.
"Stevens, our graduate student, has started the season with a great
race and I am looking forward to watching her final season unfold,"
said Martin.
White was the Bobcats' top runner in the 1,500-meter run as she
placed fifth with a time of 4:43.83. Sisters Amanda and Christina
Faust (Macungie, Pa.) finished next for Quinnipiac, in

th and 22
nd place, respectively. Amanda
posted a time of 4:56.57, while Christina finished in 5:02.13.
Quinnipiac returns to action when it participates at the Bryant
University Invitational on Saturday, April 2 in Smithfield, R.I.
