As a Sophomore in 2012: One of the Bobcat’s main distance runners saw time in one 1500m, one mile run, two 5000m events and another two 10000m races this season…One of the most improved Quinnipiac runners from 2011, Malloy broke three personal bests in 2012…She began the season with a 5000m run at the Fred Hardy Invitational on March 30 where she crossed the line in 19:23.08…Her one mile time set a new personal record as she bested her mark from last season with a 5:30.82 on April 14 at Brown…Finished a season-best third out of eight runners at MIT on April 21 with a time of 19:36.64 in the 5000m…Broke her second PR of the season with a time of 5:05.70 in the 1500m on April 29 at Yale…After finishing 11th at the NEC Championships with a time of 41:01.17 in the 10000m, Malloy came back and posted a personal record the next weekend as she obliterated her time from the week before with a 39:29.53 on May 10 at the New England Championships.
As a Freshman in 2011: Ran the 10k in 42:40.55 at the New England Championships on May 12…Finished the one-mile in 5:36.40, a personal-best time, at the Brown Outdoor Invitational on April 16…Ran a personal best-time of 5:12.60 in the 1,500-meter run at the Bryant University Invitational on April 2…Participated in Richmond’s Fred Hardy Invite on March 25, where she ran a season-best time of 19:20.77 in the 5k.
Before Quinnipiac: Attended Bishop Eustace Preparatory School where she ran varsity cross country, indoor and outdoor track for four years...Her cross country team held a 6-0 record as Olympic Conference Champions, and was Shore Coaches Invitational Champions, South Jersey Open Champions, South Jersey Parochial Champions in 2010...She helped lead her outdoor track team to a 5-0 record as Olympic Conference National Division Champions...Runs a 5k personal best of 18:53; a 1500-meter in 5;17 and the 3200-meter in 11:27...Received the Annual Olympic Conference Female Scholar Athlete Award...She qualified for the Nike Indoor Nationals in the 5k in 2009 and 2010...She also was a qualifier for the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in the four-mile run in 2010...As a junior and senior, she was named team captain for cross country and track...Was selected to the All-Conference first team as a sophomore, junior and senior in both cross country and track...Was a member of the All-Non Public first team for three years as a cross country athlete...Was named her team's Most Valuable Player and received the Coach's Award, Most Improved Player Award and the Sportsmanship Award during high school.
