Women's Outdoor Track & Field Names 19 to MAAC All-Academic Team

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – A total of 19 members of the Quinnipiac women's outdoor track & field team were named to the 2014 MAAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Team on May 3, 2014. Quinnipiac finished with the second-most in the conference behind Marist's 20 but on a percentage-based number, the Bobcats had the highest percentage of eligible players on the team qualify for All-Academic honors.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. A consistent fixture among the University's most successful programs academically, the women's track and field program continues to show unrivaled dedication in the classroom.

Among the Bobcats' student-athletes honored were three sophomores, four juniors, eight seniors and four graduate students. Of the Bobcats' 29 total eligible candidates on the roster, 19 were selected to the All-Academic Team which accounts for 65.5 percent of those eligible for the honor. Also of note was that of the 13 Quinnipiac student-athletes who are either seniors or graduate students competing in their final season of track and field, 12 made the All-Academic Team for a total of 92.3 percent.
