As a sophomore:
Led the team with 51 blocks, seeing action in 94 of 100
sets the Bobcats played in 2009 ... Finished second on the team in
kills (216) ... Racked up a season-high 16 kills at Columbia on
Sept. 11 ... Added 15 kills at Central Connecticut on Sept. 23 and
14 each in wins against St. Francis (N.Y.) (Oct. 9) and Holy Cross
(Oct. 13) ... Had 11 assists on three occasions, Sept. 20 against
St. Francis (N.Y.), Sept. 26 against Central Connecticut, and Nov.
6 at Fairleigh Dickinson ... Totaled 10 kills and a season-high six
digs against Saint Francis (Pa.) on Nov. 15 ... Made a season-high
five blocks at Saint Francis (Pa.), Oct. 4 ... Totaled four blocks
each at Columbia (Sept. 11), against Central Connecticut (Sept. 26)
and at St. Francis (N.Y.) (Oct. 9).
As a
freshman:
Played in 120 of
123 sets for the Bobcats...was a force in the middle, compiling
team-highs in kills (244), hitting percentage (.293) and blocks
(71)...also finished sixth in assists...earned spots on the
all-tournament team at the Quinnipiac Invitational, the Quinnipiac
Bobcat Invitational, the Maine Invitational and the Brown
Invitational...had a season-high 13 kills against Providence
(10/4), one of eight matches with 10 kills or more...hit a
season-high .632 against Kent State...had a season-high seven
blocks against LaSalle (11/5)...had six blocks against St. Francis
(N.Y.)(11/9)...had five blocks to go along with 10 kills in her
collegiate debut against Fordham (8/29)...named to the Northeast
Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
Before Quinnipiac:
Played for the Epic Volleyball Club and Scripps Ranch High
School in San Diego ... three-year team captain at Scripps Ranch
... earned First-Team All-California Interscholastic Federation
(CIF) in her final three seasons at Scripps Ranch after being named
to the second team as a freshman ... received the 2007 CIF
Sportsmanship Award ... named to the Western League First Team as a
sophomore and junior and finished with a second-team selection as a
senior ... led Scripps Ranch to the 2004 and 2005 Division II CIF
Championships and was named team most valuable player in 2006 and
2007 ... served as head coach of the Scripps Ranch freshman boys
volleyball team for three years ... achieved in the classroom with
a 3.6 grade-point average.
