MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Sophomore Kayla Lawler (Richmond, Ind.) had 27 assists and freshman Logan Riker (Bowling Green, Ohio) had 15 digs, but the Quinnipiac University volleyball team was defeated by Robert Morris, 3-0, Saturday afternoon in Northeast Conference action at the Sewall Center. With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 1-16 (1-4 NEC), while the Colonials improve to 5-13 (2-0 NEC).
The Colonials hit .500 in the first set to earn a 25-15 victory. Robert Morris then took the second and third sets, 25-14 and 25-23 respectively, to clinch the match.
The Bobcats return to the court Sunday, when they continue Northeast Conference action in Western Pennsylvania with a 2 p.m. match at Saint Francis (Pa.).
